“Paradise? Well Pretty close!”

This was our first trip to the Carribean so we were not too sure what to expect. The Hotel itself is wonderful. Situated a short walk outside Holetown on the West coast we found our own little spot of paradise. The buildings themselves used to belong to an old gentlemans club and it still has that colonial feel to it. There are four pools althoug two big enough to swim in, and the beach is right there. As soon as you step oput the bar your feet are pretty much getting wet. The water actvities were great and free. The Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Half price cocktails whilst watching the sun go down was a must. The only down side is the cost of food which is very expensive and is the same across the Island although you can find some good not too expensive places to eat. We took Barbadan dollars and not US which we were recommended to do by a friend and that was really useful as we won on the exchange! This is a wonderful Hotel perfect for families and couples and we can't wait to go back! Make sure you book a trip to swim with the Turtles unforgettable!

“Sunning in Barbados”

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and accomodating. They could use more activities that would get guests interacting more and getting to know each other (we met a lovely couple from our hotel at a restaurant on our last night there;we would have loved to have met them earlier in our stay. Overall I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. We would definitely go back.

“Gorgeous hotel”

The hotel was located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach and have a fantastic range of complementary watersports with friendly and helpful staff. We learnt how to sail and swam with the turtles! The hotel itself is very well kept, has a cute poolside bar serving fantastic cocktails, and they arrange romantic evenings on the sunset deck with lobster and jazz on Thursdays. Overall, a very romantic place to stay.

Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings make this place worth a visit. The food is not cheap in the hotel but it is good quality and there are other restaurants not far away.

A very calming experience with excellent service from polite and freindly staff. Our room overlooked the garden towards the back of the hotel grounds and consequently was very peaceful. Breakfast on the balcony started the day without any hurry. We chose this hotel having researched reviews on Expedia across the whole Island. More expensive but worth it.

“Absolute Paradise”

Our 5th visit to Colony Club over the past 20+ years was as fabulous, perhaps even better than, our prior 4 visits. All staff from housekeeping to management were very friendly & accommodating. Our room was beautifully decorated, well appointed, & very clean, as were the reception, lounges, & dining areas. The grounds were exquisite-a wide array of expertly maintained tropical plants & trees amidst inviting lagoon pools & a lovely beach. Wherever we looked, we had a marvelous view. Although we didn't select a meal plan, the food was so wonderful that we chose to eat at the hotel for every meal except one. Colony Club has such charm & grace, from the mid-day complementary chilled grapes or ice cream served to us whether we were on our private patio, poolside, or on the beach, to the nightly turndown service w/ cards of quaint Bajan sayings, to the manager's cocktail party where we got to visit w/ the manager & mingle w/ guests from all over the world. For us Colony Club continues to be the perfect place for a totally relaxing, quiet stay. We look forward to many more return visits.

“An unforgettable honeymoon”

We have recently returned from 10 days at the Colony Club for our honeymoon and from the moment we arrived felt the hotel's staff could not have done more to make it the best holiday ever - it was just brilliant and having talked to residents of other resorts on trips to the Mountgay Rum Factory, Harbour Lights and Helicopter tour in Bridgetown, we felt we had really struck lucky. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about local restaurants and trips were no trouble to arrange. The setting was wonderful - the beach is on your doorstep and there are 4 fresh water pools to cool down in. The location is great for Holetown where there was a good choice of restaurants and bars. It was the first time in Barbados for both of us but we will be returning and defintitely staying at the Colony Club again.

“Excellent Vacation Spot”

My husband and I visited the Colony Club. We were impressed by the overall quality of the hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Each room has a patio with a table and chairs and two lounge chairs. Be sure to ask for the week's activities when you arrive. The beach is very nice. About half is shaded beach. A few days staff passed out cold towels and fruit to those on the beach. The water activities are free, we snorkeled, tubed and sailed. There are vendors that come by on the beach, and can be annoying, but they are not pushy. I think people will encounter these vendors anywhere since beaches are public. The hotel provides a good breakfast buffet. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner once, it was okay, but overpriced, like all food on the island. There is a large drink selection at the outside bar. The bar menu is okay, but there is not much of a selection. On one night the hotel offers a buffet and show. It is pricey, $60 USD each, but the package is worth it. The hotel reception is very helpful. Aside from the beach there are pools winding throughout the complex. There are lounge chairs set up at each of the pools for those who wish to lay out there. Overall, this was a great hotel to stay at. It is very charming - not a huge hotel. The grounds are magnificent. The pool, beach, rooms were all perfect. After driving around the island and seeing the different beaches, I think the Colony Club was the best hotel we saw. We would definitely stay here again.
