“Great hotel - great location”

We spent two weeks at the Coral Mist in February and enjoyed it so much that we were reluctant to leave! The hotel is located right next to the beach and all rooms have balconies or patios with wonderful sea views. We had booked one of the basic rooms but it was spacious, comfortable and clean. It also included a cooker, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave and coffee maker so we prepared our own breakfasts and ate them on our balcony. The en-suite had a really efficient shower, a hair-drier and beach towels (in addition to the bathroom towels. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is located within easy reach of many different restaurants and a couple of supermarkets and the buses (cheap, fun and frequent) stop almost outside the door. Great value for money.

“Very nice hotel but ...”

Reception staff were polite and friendly, we had a very nice upstairs ocean view studio room with a large balcony, a neat fully fitted kitchen, clean bathroom and efficient daily maid service. The guy that appeared to be the official taxi driver for the hotel was not exactly the friendly welcoming chatty type you might expect. In fact we preferred to avoid him and arrange our own taxi's thanks to Yellow Pages and the free local phone call service. Although the hotel is in a nice area it's sandwiched between the beach at the rear and a very busy main road out front which could be noisy at night. Probably because most of the rooms are self catering apartments we found the hotel bar and restaurant a bit basic and we preferred to eat out elsewhere. There are two local supermarkets within reasonable walking distance but some very narrow pavements along side the busy main road made walking back laden with groceries a bit of a challenge. So to sum up, we really liked the hotel room, reception amd maid services, the location was ok although traffic noise at night could be a real problem, we'd be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone providing they were aware of our experience of it.

It was the best ocean/beach front hotel I ever experienced. Love it!
