nice hotel near to the beach

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Cons: See above
excellent staff and location but the hotel needs updating and the sun shades and sun loungers were inadequate. there was also a real problem with mosquitoes (probably due to nearby stagnant water)

Huge Damp

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The same food everyday. There wasn't a variety of food to choose from. The wifi only works in the lobby since there is no wifi in the rooms.

New Years Eve

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Went to the hotel for New Years and it was really good. Its 3 star but it has everything you need. The pool was really nice and then you just walk straight onto the beach. Food was good, and because the hotel is small you get to meet more people and evenings are fun.

A student backpackers hostel in the Caribbean !

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: The public beach out front & the wonderfully gracious Bajan waiting staff who deserve a better place to operate
Cons: The dining restaurant ( which right now is an open plan cafeteria really ) should be a proper restaurant , air conditioned and have great choice.
Location: Fab location , opposite the high class mall, near restaurants, cinema and supermarket ..on arguably the best coast in the Caribbean.
The rooms in this place are spectacularly horrid . They are the same shape as a hotel room would be , the garden rooms have a little patio to sit , there's a tv , air conditioning ( the only redeeming feature of the entire room ) and a small bathroom with tub and shower & cw ..but it all looks look like 10 million people have used every item and facility in the room before you got there , and no one thought to update, repaint or repair or renew any of the fixtures or fittings ..so even though when you open the door & go in you first THINK it's a regular room, in reality it's an endurance test to see how long the shower will deliver water at anything like the temperature you want ..how long you can avert your eyes to the dirty chipped washbowl and splintered dried out flaking wood around the mirror as you shave each day, knowing you wouldn't have kennelled your dog here if you'd have known in advance how badly in need of a total renovation the place was .. Last year the government of Barbados restyled and created the beach out front, for health and safety and to encourage tourism ..that's a brilliant feature ..the gardens here are nice and well managed also ..the food ( we stupidly paid for all inclusive ) was school dinner cafeteria stuff ..on Christmas Day they ran out of Turkey while we were still in the queue .. It's that kind of stuff you'll remember ! If they renovate this place , investing in the decor it will be fabulous ..right now it's hellish and must be avoided..

Staff are generally friendly, the exception being the bar staff in the pool bar. Showers don't function very well

Além da piscina não tinha outra área de lazer, pela noite, só o final de semana tinha música. Além da praia, não há outro lugar perto para passear.

Lovely hotel...great location and really friendly

This was our first time in the Caribbean and it was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary...so very special. We had booked a sea view room and it was just beautiful...I could not have asked for more. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the manager could not have been more helpful making a special arrangement for our big day. Our room was cleaned daily, air-con worked well with plenty of plugs for all your chargers!! Location really need Holetown centre but so quiet at night could hear the sea. Excellent music entertainment which we appreciated and good range of food with items cooked for you along with a broad range of options, morning noon and night! Would definitely stay here again and so thankful for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable.

A good all-inclusive resort in Holetown.

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: - The resort is quiet and all the staff were excellent - There is plenty to do locally - Food good
Cons: Several small things could be improved. More activities and freshen the decor. On-site gym, hair salon and shop. Attention to detail.
Location: Plenty to do locally: designer shops and malls in Holetown, restaurants and bars & the "chattel village". Easy links to Bridgetown and elsewhere.
The hotel is pleasant and has a nice though small stretch of beach. Staff were very good and quick to resolve problems when brought to their attention. Really nice and we would consider returning and would recommend to prospective guests. Bad points: In-room satellite TV is basically 3 or 4 movie channels, and occasionally CBC (no sports or news channels at all); wifi is mostly good but doesn't operate reliably in some rooms; the two on-site restaurants (poolside and indoor/balcony) don't operate at the same time; we are fairly sure that the description mentioned a gym but this is no longer available; there is no hair salon or shop on-site; on-site entertainment is limited, there could have been more evening or even daytime activities for people who don't want to go off the reservation; lack of attention to detail in some areas, e.g cobwebs on lamps in public areas, occasional lapses with food/drink quantities leading to shortages a couple of times; would have been helpful if the email confirmation had prominently stated that airport transfers were NOT included; decor was a bit tired but not too bad. Good points: The resort is quiet and all the staff were excellent; there is plenty to do locally, not just the designer shops in Holetown but also another big mall (arguably more interesting), restaurants and bars, the "chattel village" and even the coconut seller across the street; local transport is cheap and frequent to Bridgetown and elsewhere.
