good value hotel on beach

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Location.Pool.balcony good size.Kitchen area
Cons: need beach chairs and more umbrellas.
Location: St lawence gap is a busy area..beach sports available and plenty of shops/supermarket and bars within easy reach
Hotel itself is clean and bright .We had an ocean view studio which had a great view and the pool was a good size. The only downside is no chairs or brollys on beach, only available on the terrace area which is nice but not enough brollys and not much natural shade. However good value for the money and close to shops. We ate at Blakeys on the broadwalk on a couple of nights, really nice position and good cocktails also The Tiki bar at Rockley beach only a short drive,Its really best to have a car to tour the island.

Look out for "Queen Size Beds"....

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Nice pool area.
Cons: If you have a client book a room with a queen size bed, ensure that is what is provided. Fix the noise problems for ground level rooms. Fix wait staff
Location: Many nice restaurants nearby. Streets are safe and the beaches at the other hotels are fantastic.
We booked a standard room with a queen size bed through Expedia. When we got in that evening, we found that the staff had simply pushed two twin beds together and covered them with a sheet and called it a "queen size bed". The bed was very uncomfortable as we kept falling into the middle of bed. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. We had a ground floor room and the noise was unbelievable. There was constant banging around of equipment by the staff and the walls were thin. You don't want a ground floor room at this hotel. I complained about the accommodations to the staff and they explained that "this is how we do it here". I've stayed at well over 100 hundred hotels and never saw anything like this. When I requested a refund, the best they would do is offer to pay my cab ride back to the airport. We finally agreed that the hotel would reimburse me for our breakfast. The location of the hotel was very nice however there was no beach. We went to the adjoining hotel property to swim. The hotel did have a very nice and well-maintained pool area. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. The service was painfully slow even though we were the only ones there. Once they finally decided to serve us, the service picked up a bit. The food quality was good but we had to keep asking for more coffee. In most places we've eaten at, the waiter/waitress would constantly check to see if they could refill our coffee (not here though).

Clean hotel on the beach which is the best part. The hotel needs updating though. Staff is polite and friendly. Overall pretty affordable. I would recommend to a friend.

Budget Hotel on Dover Beach

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff Location
Cons: Chairs on beach Renovated pool Better restaurant Renovated room
Location: End of the St.Lawrence Gap, you are close to the local buses, cafes, restaurants, bars and great grocery stores.
Small friendly hotel which is now surrounded by a whole bunch of large and new developments. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the back building which unfortunately had lousy views of the next door hotel. On site restaurant is over priced and service, while friendly, is very slow. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars which is deceiving. Hotel beach is very small and hotel does not provide chairs on beach. The hotel sunning lounge area doesn't have sufficient shade. The pool is in dire need of renos; there are loose tiles and the pool lining looks filthy. The room was OK, a bit tired and in need of some renos; it had a small fridge, microwave and kettle. Water pressure was great, lots of hot water. The wifi was free and worked great. The best part about this hotel is its location at the end of the Gap. Lots of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.

Le quartier est toujours animé. On peur aller a la plage à pied. Endroit très touristique, accueillant et dynamique. Bref Le GAP est là ou tout se passe

Nice, clean, quiet hotel.

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Everything, Very clean and friendly hotel. The beach is a little rough.
Cons: The Breakfast menu and food can and should improve. I ordered my breakfast and they gave me something totally different. Be honest with the customers.
Location: St lawrence Gap is very busy. But, the hotel is located away from the noise and party. There's alot to do in the surrounding areas, clubs n foods
I stayed 7 days. The Hotel is clean, quiet and the staff is amazing. I would stay again and recommend to my family and friends. I loved the location, which is away from the noise in St.Lawrence Gap. There's alot of restaurants, clubs, food and shopping in the surrounding areas.Don't have to go far at all.
