Nice friendly hotel close to a lovely beach.Posted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: Small, friendly staff, excellent dining, excellent bar staff. All inclusive food and drink was top quality.
Cons: Some furniture in room was in need of maintenance. Evening entertainment could be better. Bar area was a bit small.
Location: Beaches very good. Locally hired catamaran trips excellent. Atlantis submarine trip very good. Bus journeys up the west coast were cheap.
Enjoyed a few trips (catamaran, Subnarine, Harrisons Cave, Animal Sanctuary). Enjoyed 'pebbles beach', chilled out completely. Local people very kind, helpful, polite and approachable. Weather could have been better .. some very heavy storms .. 3 days written off. Watch out for the odd jellyfish .. boy do they hurt!!

Very friendly and relaxing getawayPosted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: Friendliness of staff and comfortable room.
Cons: The pool was quite small but I didn't actually use it.
Location: Great location to explore the island from. You can spend a day at their sister hotel in Holetown which was totally different vibe and really beautiful
This is a 3 star hotel so it wasn't super luxurious, but the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The local knowledge and trips recommended were second to none. The food was good every day with a reasonable variety. The bedroom was very comfortable and had tasteful decor. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and beach towels were included. The hotel is not on the beach but it's very close to the beach. Pebbles Beach is one of the best on the island, we thought. There is a fab fast food kiosk in the car park called Cuzz's - delicious fried fish sandwiches and very reasonably priced. We took a trip on the catamaran Stiletto which was a great day out - swimming with hawsbill turtles, snorkelling over a reef and wreck, and a tasty lunch. Taking the reggae bus to Oistins was one of the highlights of the trip. Overall a really wonderful and relaxing holiday. Island Inn is a great base from which to explore this beautiful and varied island. Highly recommended.

beautiful little hotelPosted Jan 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved this place. From decor to friendliness to location - all amazing. All the staff were great and very helpful, from the servers, cleaners, bartenders and front-desk staff. Food was great (would have liked to see some Bajan options though - I understand they're catering to a mostly foreign tourist base, but Bajan cuisine would have been a nice option; and the option for Mackeson stout - something I was introduced to out of the hotel which I loved - a milk stout). Location is nice and close to a beach that was not busy at all, very safe and clean, and there's a food vendor in the parking lot beside it that sold the best fish sandwiches - a must try. The room was very clean and was a good balance of contemporary design/furnishing and original architecture from when it was a rum depot. I would highly recommend this place if you need a quaint, friendly and central place to stay in Bridgetown.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great StaffPosted Jan 22, 2013
Pros: The staff and the relaxed intimate atmosphere
Location: Great location next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island
Island inn is a genuinely lovely hotel which offers something different to all of the big corporate hotels on the Island. It has 24 rooms so is quite intimate and has a family feel to it. The staff are fantastic (in particular Carol) and the all inclusive offer is great with an a la carte meal most nights and great Breakfast and lunch selection they even do you a packed lunch on one day if you want to explore. The selection of drinks available is also much better than my previous experience of all inclusive with nothing too much trouble (although avoid the Martinis if you wish to remain vertical!!) Overall a fantastic experience and we would definitely return

Island Inn - true Barbados hospitalityPosted Dec 24, 2012
Pros: The friendly staff and good food.
Cons: The shower! Not a lot of pressure and wasted a lot of cold water before it became hot.
Location: Great location .. It's on a bus route but a car would have been a bonus to see more of the island, taxis are not a cheap option.
An individual small gem of a hotel retaining the spirit of Barbados. Close to a lovely beach where in the early morning the race horses are brought from the race track close by for a swim. Variety of food is aplenty. Staff are delightful, the receptionist even lent me the Barbados money so I could get to Bridgetown and the bank :) Do not choose this hotel if you like big impersonal places with lots of amenities, but no character! There is one just up the road starting with the letter H

Great value for moneyPosted Sep 4, 2012
Small friendly hotel in a quiet location. Would suit couples looking for a nice relaxing holiday. The hotel has 24 rooms, we stayed in a room overlooking the courtyard. These rooms have a better view than the garden view rooms. Food was always nice although not much choice. Breakfast is a buffet with usual full english, cereal, fruit, yoghurts. Lunch and dinner is al a carte and you have to let staff know what time you wish to dine, theres not much choice but we found the food fairly tasty. Pebbles Beach is only a very short walk away and is beautiful. Only negative is that the sun loungers near the pool could do with parasols as the heat can be intense. Overall we found the hotel excellent value for money.
