My husband and I stayed last week for a week. The hotel is small, generally quiet and cosy, the staff are all exceptional, very very helpful and kind, very accommodating to your special needs. the service is great. the food is very good, just need a little more variety especially with breakfast. Other than that i totally enjoyed my stay, will definitely return and recommend to others.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: The staff, the location, good food & comfortable accommodation.
Cons: Better equipped bar, umbrellas for shade, there was only one umbrella in the whole place, the hotel doesn't offer any beach chairs or umbrellas.
Location: The hotel is in the Garrison area, good for race course, George Washington House, 20 min walk into Bridgetown, easy access to transport.
We enjoyed our overall experience , the staff are lovely & friendly & can't do enough for you, food good, could have improved bar stock ie ran out of gin! We met some lovely people & made friends because the hotel only small & quite intimate. I wouldn't recommend for young people as very quiet although good location for getting about, 20 min walk to Bridgetown. Probably would choose a different hotel if I was to return to Barbados as the people are lovely & the island felt very safe everywhere we went.

Ótimo lugar

O lugar é lindo, mas infelizmente não durará muito tempo, pois eles vendem as praias. A localização do hotel é ótima perto das baladas, 3 km do centro e na praia das tartarugas. Vale a pena.

Comfortable room. All the staff members were helpful and friendly except one :( Didn't really use the amenities. Location is great, close to the beach and the main road for buses to the Gap. The wireless needs to be expanded to reach guests bedrooms. Food and drink was ok, have had much better.

Nice if your not expecting much

Pros: Bartenders lunch staff
Cons: Grounds, front desk people. Umbrellas at the pool. Food. They need to set up some tables inside for a choice to get out of the heat.
Location: Location to the beach was good.
We stayed in a garden suit room 6.Nice room except the air conditioner cut out everyday we were there and we were told many different stories as to why... We got "oh we are fixing it", well needless to say we were very uncomfortable for the entire time as it worked sporadically. The food was just ok, not much on our plates as we ordered from a menu. When we asked for more or to add on another main meal (because portions were small) we were told they would have to ask and we were told "NO".. (thought this was an all inclusive) I have stayed at five or more all inclusive resorts and the meals were always plentiful. We had no other choice but to eat outside every meal. Even though the website shows inside tables. There were two empty inside rooms that the staff could have put tables in so we could avoid the humidity while we were dressed up for dinner. This made for a very uncomfortable eating in the heat. The grounds could do with some cleaning/improving. I am fair skinned and need an umbrella by the pool there were holders for umbrellas but I was told they broke. How much does it cost to replace them? I also thought this was a sister hotel to Mango Bay I asked if they had any they could get from them.. answerer "NO" I asked for one of the beach umbrellas I was also told "NO"... my cousin on the last day somehow got one from the lobby for me to use. How would I Rate my experience. Subpar. Not going back. Bartenders were great, lunch staff were wonderful. Value 1-10-- 4

Stunning hotel, small and friendly. The staff were welcoming and helpful with everything. Omal on the bar is fabulous with his cocktail creations, Angela & Ceraline were great to have at meal times as they provide you with brilliant service and humour. The manager was chatty and often stopped to speak to each guest and see how they were. The rooms were huge and beautifully decorated with air con that was very much needed! The pool although on the small side was perfect for a dip, although the beach is a minutes walk away an is perfection! JJ is the beach chair man who rents out sunbeds an umbrellas, Cuz's fish shack is a must to visit, he serves up the best Marlin sandwiches and ice cold beer! For tours we went with Julian's snorkelling trip- Beach chair guys friend. He told us all about the island and took us swimming with the turtles and to see the sea wrecks. Food at the hotel was varied and delicious, being a fussy eater they also often catered for me if I disliked the choice that day. Over all the Island Inn is a beautiful hotel, with amazing staff, a perfect room, and a stunning beach. We will be back for sure! Thanks for having us x

Hotel Staying

Pros: Staff, location and meals quality preparation.
Cons: The hotel deserves a modern front desk. The slot machines are old.Should be changed.Available spaces would be a better location for the restaurant.
Location: Not to much to do. Just the beach and the casino.
Very quiet and peaceful hotel. Comfortable and clean rooms well located. Perfect place to rest without noising. Convenient location and safety. Staff very kind, friendly and respectful. Air conditioned and TV set excellent.

Pros: The staff are the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to meet. The food is very good and a choice is always on offer.
Location: Great location only a 20 minute walk along the beach into Bridgetown.
Hotel is situated some 100 yards from the beach which is safe and clean . The hotel staff can,t do enough for you, and will offer help and advice about the island.
