“Very good Hotel,Great Location”

It was an amazing and very enjoyable stay at South beach resort and vaction club. Very good Hotel,clean and comfortable. Rooms are clean spacious and very well equiped. Front desk and all staff in general very helpful,friendly and pleasant. Location of the Hotel is great,easy access to everything. Fantastic beach right across the street, very clean and quiet.

The hotel is accross Rockley beach, a great and popular beach... There are lots of restaurants nearby, wich makes dinning very pleasant. There is a taxi stand in front of the hotel, it make it easy to get a cab and to negociate a price to go around the island.

“Can't Wait to go again!”

This place is great. It is centerally located to everything including the beach which is literally right across the street. Children are certianly welcome at this hotel as well, they even have a baby pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Each room has a full kitchen and there are two supermarkets close by so if you want, you won't have to go out and eat. I will be going back this summer.

“First, but not last, trip to Barbados”

My wife and I stayed here, 12th November to 26th November 2005. The staff are really friendly, the rooms are very clean and the beach is right across the road. St. Lawrence Gap is 1 kilometer away, it's o.k. to walk there during daytime but take a taxi at night as the pavements can be tricky.

“Great Hotel”

South Beach was a great value and a great locaton. Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice beach, restaurants, bus stops, and a taxi stand are right there.

“Very Impressed”

Hotel was well maintained and the daily room cleaning was very timely. The location is perfect for either getting to Bridgetown or visting the Gap or Oistins. Everything - beach, shopping, partying - is close by with restaurants/food outlets in abundance. The front office personnel could have been a little more outgoing/friendly, but that didn't detract from the overall aesthetics of the place.

“Conveniently located”

We were a bit skeptical about not booking an all-inclusive resort but once we arrived at South Beach, those concerns went away. The room was very spacious and well kept. Our room had a great balcony. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Some may think that the pool is "oddly positioned" as it is located in front of the hotel but directly accross the street is Rockley/Accra Beach where beach chairs are available for rent for $5 US. Quayside is a mini mall next door to the hotel which houses a convenience store, souvenir shop, pizza shop, chinese restaurant, coffee shop and a host of other stores. A few blocks to the left of the hotel is a place called Berts (similar to an Applebee's). The taxi stand is across the street, as is the local bus stops. It is very easy to get around from this hotel. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you into Bridgetown on specific days of the week. It's also about a 10 minute ride (25 minute walk if you like to walk) to the St. Lawrence Gap where there are a number of restaurants and bars. Overall we had a fantastic time in Barbados!!!!

“A good base”

My two children (14 and 11 years) and I stayed here - our first trip to Barbados. The hotel was lovely offering us the versatility of self catering whilst also being in close proximity to an abundance of restaurants. All areas and rooms were kept very clean and the apartments were well equipped, attractive and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The staff were very helpful without being intrusive. The swimming pool is fairly small and located at the front of the hotel. It was also very clean and, with it's differing depths and tunnel, kept my two children occupied. We visited the hotel's restaurant on our first morning and although the food was good, if lacking in quantity, felt that too much emphasis had been put into the appearance of the venue - the chairs were uncomfortably soft and low for the table and alhough stylish the restaurant lacked ambience. The hotel is located about 100 yards from Rockley Beach which is quite popular. The sand is lovely white/yellow and clean and there are sun beds/shades and boogie boards for hire. On our windy visit, the water (a lovely turquoise)was exhilarating, for younger children there is a protected area at the Southern end of the beach near the Sugar Reef restaurant. My only real concern with the hotel is that it is located on a busy road - crossing the road to get to the beach needs your full attention.

“Great Value”

Excellent location! It is not right on the beach, but it is across the street and all rooms have a view of the sea...the beach itself is one of the best. It's also centrally located, so you can get just about anywhere by foot, cab or bus. The room (we had a suite) was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette.
