“Comfortable!!!”

Was extremely comfortable,huge bed,free wifi in the room,quiet inside and out unlike other hotels I have stayed at on the island. Decent breakfast to start the day,a good 90 minute walk from Bridgetown but as I enjoy the walk...not a problem.

“Barbados Beach Club.”

I did not stay at the SUNBay Hotel as planned, I stayed across the street at the sister hotel Barbados Beach Club. (it cost much more than I originally paid for at the SUNBay) This hotel is lovely, it has a great pool, lots of open space, two nice restaurants, and a poolside bar. The entire staff, was wonderful, courteous, friendly and very helpful. My adult daughter, my 2 grand children ages 5 & 2, and myself were well taken care of. The morning thru evening staff and supervisors were attentive and caring, always willing to help the guest, and the food especially breakfast was great. We ate in the upstairs dinning room once, and the food as well as the staff were great!!!. I will recommend this hotel, to anyone. Even though the sea was not the ideal place for swimming, it was still nice. They have beach chairs with umbrellas where you could still relax and enjoy the sea. I am planning on returning to this hotel for Christmas. Here's a big shout out to the entire staff at the Barbados Beach Club.

“Wonderful Experience”

I returned for R&R after four years, having lived on the island for approx. 14 years. Aside from the hotel being a little removed from the main road, the establishment is a nice place to relax. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The dining room staff, in particular, bent over backwards to please the guests. I had a wonderful time and commend the employees for their special attention. I shall definitely return and recommend this hotel as good value for money.

Old hotel but nice, clean and well maintained. Beach on the other side of the street. Friendly and helpful employees. Comfortable room. Good price-quality ratio.

“Sunbay a home away from home!”

My experience at Sunbay Hotel was great. The room was spacious and clean all amenity was in good working condition. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool was clean and I loved the surrounding of all the trees. My only disappointment was the breakfast I had to wait a very long time for my breakfast because of staff storage and I was really expecting more for "Continental Breakfast" eg. a fruit or cereal at least...hmmmm. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and I would definitely back soon!!

“vacation 2011”

For those of us that want a nice relaxing resting place after we spend the day exploring the island this place is perfect. Staff are friendly and inside pool area and its flowers were a beautiful site We really enjoyed our time there and will be back for sure.

“Not too bad.. but”

The room I got was massive, a huge king size bed awaited me.. The room was very very clean and I had a smile on my face straighaway. The room had ammenities such as a fridge, telephone, A/C, hair dryer etc. The room was opposite the pool and it was very nice indeed. Anyway after using and flushing the toilet, I noticed a leak coming from the pipes which made the bathroom's floor wet. I called reception and got sent the head of the cleaners (sort of facilities manager) to come and have a look at it. She was ever so lovely and offered to move me into another room.. I initally refused because I loved that room too much to want to give it up..lol I ended up moving into a different room on the same floor; but with a smaller bed :(.. I didnt mind in the end. I asked the lady for a microwave, an adapter, and an iron.. All which I got.. (Thank you lovely lady) BREAKFAST. I was offered 2 pieces of toast, a pastry and tea for breakfast. Now as someone from England, this is almost a no no.. I wanted bacon, sausage etc. Anyway I had to pay more than 10usd for the extras.. I ended up going to other hotels to eat. There is no resturant to buy lunch, dinner or even snacks.. No where to get or buy water onsite.. The Gym is rubbish.. The card used to open the door failed on me a few times, and had to go back to reception to fix it.. This also happened to most people I spoke to. All in all, it is a nice hotel. It could become better if they sort out the little niggles.

“Would definitely stay again”

Stayed 9/20 - 9/27. Opted for the basic INCLUDED Breakfat Buffet in the Family resort and did the rest of my meals as I went. Did NOT do all-inclusive. Glad I didn't. Tried one afternoon for lunch, extremely over-priced and food item variety was VERY limited. Food otherwise was OK. Ate out each night at different places nearby [My favorite was Pablo's - just down the street]. Definitely do Friday Fish Night in Oistin's . . .a lot of good food and fun. Overall loved Barbados. The Beach at the main resort was nice and clean. NO beach bar service. Chaises were free for guest use. Inexpensive getaway with average room quality. Maid service was great! Room was always clean and towels replenished upon return to my room each evening. Never saw a bug. A/C was wonderful!
