“A big slice of heaven”

This hotel is so lovely and beautifully set ocean front on a fabulous beach. It's public areas are so welcoming and have such a relaxed vibe. From the pool areas to the beach and everything in between, it invited a casual and relaxed feel while still feeling upscale. Our room was on the ground floor the layout and ammenities were great. We walked out of our private patio and were three steps away from the pool deck. I understand that there is a relaxed feel to the property but I think the wait staff could have done a bit better job on there service. It was slow and often times out of sight. In all fairness, anything we asked for we received, just in a "relaxed" mode. We weren't in any hurry so it was fine, but I think they stood to make more money if they had been more on top of things. The breakfast was so enjoyable, both the food and the setting. The champagne was delicious and free flowing each morning. English tea about 4pm everyday was the perfect luxury, especially taking it poolside in your swim suit. I highly recommend it.

Peaceful with a superb staff. Quiet - not for everyone, but absolutely for those who know what they are looking for -- a clean and comfortable hotel with a relaxing beach feet away.

“Luxury at its best”

The staff was as nice as could be. Always making sure we were taken care of. They could not seem to do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I would turn around today and go back if I could. The place was clean, beautiful and everything we were looking for.

“A Perfect Place to be pampered and to relax!”

My husband and I went to Barbados to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We could not have been happier with The House. The room was clean and well decorated, the bathroom was large and also clean. Our 3rd story view was excellent as well. The Ambassador service was great. They pampered us with their attention and service. The breakfast included was very good and there were a lot of choices to be made each morning!! The afternoon tea was lovely and just hit the spot. Overall, it was a great, quiet, relaxing place to stay. I would highly recommend The House to anyone looking for a place where you can really get away from your regular routine and de-stress but to also be made to feel like you are staying in a home.

“Can't wait to go back”

The hotel had excellent service, this is the best hotel I have stayed in.. The amasadors were the best, friendliest people ever.. I'm glad I chose to stay at the The House in Barbados and I have already recomended to many of my family and friends.

“Perfect Place to Decompress”

This is a small and intimate hotel with only 35 rooms, and a very comfortable open-air main lounge area where you have breakfast, afternoon tea or just some cocktails to watch a beautiful sunset. The idea is that you feel like your “at home” so there’s not front desk or concierge….they have Ambassadors that you contact for pretty much anything. It felt very much like an upscale bed and breakfast, and the property is welcoming and cozy. We cannot say enough good things about the staff. Everybody, from the wait staff, to the bar staff (where we spent much of our time!), even housekeeping and maintenance, was sincerely friendly, helpful and focused on making the guests feel welcome and at home. These people hustle and it shows. The guests were a real mix of ages and nationalities, but a definite plus is that it is an adults only hotel and the reason we booked here. On the downside, Barbados is pricey, and the food at this hotel was no exception. While it was good, it could be better. That being said, I know we’ll return to the island and I’m sure the House will be our first choice.

“Beautiful small hotel”

The House is a beautiful small hotel with less than 40 rooms. It was quietly luxurious. The room was spacious and weell furnished with beautiful views and comfortable bedding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only downside is there is no destination to walk to. Shopping and restaurants are a cab ride away. Still, I would return in a minute and can highly recommend The Hotel.

No question this was the most relaxing vacation ever. I was so upset we had to leave - I could have stayed forever!

“Wonderful Service!”

My husband and I recently spent 6 days at The House and we were very happy with our choice. Upon arrival we were met at our car by an Ambassador. She gave us a tour of the property and we were offered a wonderfully refreshing drink. There was no formal check-in procedure, she simply gave us our keys and sent us to our room. We had a fantastic view over the pool area that overlooked the beautiful sea. Our balcony was extremely accomodating and large, as well as the double vanity bathroom. We were slightly disapointed with the condition of the furniture in the room. A little dated and scratched. The TV size was small, but we really didn't care, I think we turned it on just a handful of times while we were there. Once you see the view, you'll understand why! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the air conditioner worked fabulously for a husband that can never be too cold! What was out of this world was the service! You guys are awesome. Bringing cold water, extra towels, ice cream, while lounging out on the beach. It really feels as if they want you to make the most out of your trip, giving lots of advice about local restaurants and shopping. The grounds were stunning and we were so happy to stay at the House, especially after seeing the other properties on the beach! Lastly, the breakfast buffet every morning was excellent. Overall a spectacular trip!
