They had a fabulous time at the hotelPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: everything - as above - the pool and the breakfast stood out.
Cons: they didn't mention anything.
Location: They loved the cafe opposite, the beach and - well all of it.
I booked this hotel for my mother and mother-in-law to have a Barcelona break. They were thrilled with the Hotel which looked after them very well. The pool was great (13th floor with views), and they raved about the breakfast. Their trip was wonderful and they loved every minute.

loved the contemporary style of this hotel. Its very modern and clean cut. location is perfect if you want to combine beach and visiting the city. its a 5 min walk to the beach and only a few mins walk to the metro station, where you can catch a train into the city.

Great friendly hotel in a nice locationPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: Brand new great spacious & comfortable rooms. Excellent customer service by all (only one lady at reception was rude to me but everyone else was great
Cons: Not charging for wifi. Not being so particular about people lounging around at the pool i.e re-adjusting the chairs with people still on them
Location: Great location, near to the beach and metro with a fabulous shopping centre opposite the hotel. Museo Bleu is located 2 minutes walk away.
I spent 3 nights at the AC Forum Barcelona, a new Marriott hotel. The hotel is only 5 minutes away from the closest Metro station and it is very accessible. I liked the fact that it was away from the hustle and bustle of 'Las Ramblas' and the other tourist areas. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, particularly Orial on the front desk, who went out of his way to make my stay fabulous. I was very fortunate to be upgraded to a Junior Suite and these rooms are exceptional. I had a lovely sea view on the 19th floor and the room was incredibly spacious. The hotel is very new and so everything is immaculate. It has a fantastic gym and spa area, with several hot tubs and massage facilities. I was allowed to check-in early and was given a late check-out to 2pm, both of which made my stay much more comfortable. The pool area is really neat, with a friendly bar-tender who will bring things out to you as required. You do need to get to the pool early though to secure a good spot. My only niggle with this hotel is that it still charges for internet/wifi and the rates are expensive, fortunately this not the case for the suites as wifi is free for those rooms.

Good and quiet location; but not up to scratch.Posted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: location and cleanliness
Cons: Rubbish TV; non english speaking staff; no tea/coffee making facilities
Location: Quiet, nice area.
A clean and clinical hotel. Located in a quiet area. Directly across the road is the diagonal Mar shopping centre. A very good shopping centre, with various clothing shops, other shops and restaurants. Do NOT eat at the Steak House place on the 3rd Floor. It looks a bit like TGI Fridays, but the food is awful. Some nice local cafes. Re Hotel; about a 10 minute walk to beach; a nice beach, quiet at the end near the Hotel, café, toilets, sun loungers (very reasonable rental). Room was a bit too small; should be larger for a 4 star Hotel. Outdoor pool area was nice, but pool was a lot smaller than the photograph suggested. It can get crowded. so you are better off going to the beach. Food at Hotel; Breakfast, not very good, undercooked scrambled Egg, NO omelettes, NO brown sauce, Bacon, awful, plenty of fruit, cold meats. cheeses, and some pastries. Snacks; quite good Dinner; Not good; only had one meal; fish, it was just ok, but reasonably priced. No tea/coffee facilities in room; TV Channels; AWFUL. Only one in English. BBC world news; all the rest in Spanish and you cannot even rent films. I think this is terrible for a 4 star Hotel not to cater for other nationalities. Bus touristica right outside Hotel; taking you to see all the sights. Staff; a few were rude; most do not speak English; some were nice though and well mannered. Overall, a good and quiet location; but not a great Hotel; OK.
