Very nice and close to shops and restaurants.
Highly recommended, area was very clean and safe. The shopping mall was a few minutes away only. It was near the "Diagonal" area where everything was nearby.

Great location.
We came for a trade show. Great location by shops, restaurants etc. Very nice clean room, new style decor & glass walled en-suite. Good self serve breakfast.

If you are going on a cruise and need to stay one night this hotel is great. However if you are staying more than that avoid this hotel. Rooms are way small.

Very central location
We visited our daughter who is teaching in an international school on that side of Barcelona.We did the city tour on the red bus and that was excellant.We were close to Camp Nu and went to a match which was brillant. The train station was nearby so we went into the city centre ,saw the fountains,and all the many attractions.

OK Stay for a night or two.
Overall, our stay was OK. The staff at the front desk offered to store our luggage until our room was ready (we arrived around 10am) and then stored our luggage again on the day of departure while we went to La Sagrada Familia. There were some shortcomings: the room was smaller than what was shown in the pictures; there was no in-room safe that was advertised; and the business center consisted of a table where you could set down your laptop, and work. There were no computers or printers located in the "business center." Street noise infiltrated our 3rd floor room around midnight even with the windows closed. The breakfast was included in the hotel price. There was a single cup coffee maker with different types of coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices, breads, and Spanish ham and cheese. I thought the breakfast was very good. If the breakfast was purchased separately, it was an additional 16 Euros. If I had to pay, I would have gone somewhere else for breakfast.

We think the staff were very prepared to help with anything we needed. We did have a water problem - drip from ceiling in bathroom. They changed our room immediately. The breakfast was very good. The location was helpful to getting around Barcelona without all the noise of being center city.

Great for short stays but a bit of a walk to City
The hotel is modern and a great place to stay for a short trip. Whilst it isn't too close for walking to La Ramblas for example (at least 30 minutes way), it's in a great neighbourhood and feels very safe. I would recommend this for couples who are married or very comfortable with each other as the bathroom has frosted glass walls. Whilst you can't actually see too much through it, you do feel like you can when getting out of the shower! Would definitely use again this hotel or anohther in the group. Great pleasant staff and lovely surroundings.Thank you Marriott!

Clean, not convenient for tourist attractions
The hotel was located on the main shopping line in Barcelona, however it was quite a way from many of the main tourist attractions. The bus and the on and off tour buses did pick up near the hotel, but walking to Las Rambles is not really an option. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful regarding transportation. There was no available computer to use if you were not traveling with one. If you are staying with more than one person, the bathroom in the room leave little privacy. Not bad for a place to rest after a day of touring the city.

Good hotel in nice neighborhood
The hotel was nicely decorated and felt smart. Reception staff really helpful in both Spanish and English (one was calling restaurants for bookings for us). Minibar in hotel room was free of charge (this is in their welcome booklet, so you don't pay for any of the drinks in the fridge). The area around the hotel was great, has a slight village feel to it and is surrounding by LOTS of shopping (especially if you're after some fashion) including the <5min walk to El Corte Ingles. My biggest criticism would be the lack of public transport options. If you like walking (as I do) this was not a problem, though to "pop to Las Ramblas" you'd probably want to get a taxi or find out about buses.

Hotel and staff service are both wonderful eventhough the room is a bit small. Funny that breakfast is not included but mini bar in your room is free! Good neighbourhood and many restaurants around.

I can always depend on Marriott
They don't have a concierge, but their excellent team of professional staff bent over backwards to introduce me to their city and make it easy for me to explore on my own. I ran out of Euro on a Sunday and needed to get to the cruise ship fast. They arranged a cab for me that took credit cards and I made it to the dock on time. The room was beautiful and efficient, very modern and maybe small by US standards, but probably about the same as are most hotel rooms in Europe. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very sleek and modern. They have free internet in the lobby. It a fair distance from Las Ramblas, but only a short walk to the hop-on/hop-off tourist bus which is an excellent way to get around to all the main attractions. The hotel was immaculate with plenty of dining in the area. I always felt safe.

The Hotel is small but very clean and confortable. The staff is friendly and help us with very good indications about the city and the sorrounding areas. The location is problably one of the best in Barcelona despite that it is not in located in te heart of the downtown area. Nice Hotel to enjoy a very good stay in this beautiful city!

Highly recommended!
I was really pleased by the AC Irla hotel. It was as clean, modern and comfortable I could wish for. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. It is situated out of the city centre in a calm and quiet neihbourhood. A metro station is at 10 minutes walk and can bring you easily to the city centre (Placa Catalunya).

La relación precio-calidad no se me hace justa. Tardaron mucho tiempo en ir a limpiar mi habitación, en realidad nunca la limpiaron. Salí y cuando regrese y vi que no la habian limpiado aun (3:00 pm) , y ya me iba yo a quedar ahí decidi que mejor no la limpiaran.
