“Inexpensive. Not near tourist locations.”
Hotel is nice, but not very close to any of the tourist locations. It is clean and comfortable. No bell service available, so you'll have to handle your own baggage.

Only a few minutes walk from the Barcelona Sants train station, but a bit of a hike to the center of town. Friendly and courteous hotel staff. Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, but selection and quality were good. Would stay there again.
“Really convenient hotel”
Friendly personnel, good rooms, good bed, good sound insulation. Windows was on street but no problem at all - maybe except the cases when ambulance passed by street but it's not a problem of hotel - Barcelona's ambulances has the loudest siren in the world :) Good location - safe district and 5 min walk to metro station, 10 min walk to train station. Free wi-fi - just ask for login on reception. Very good price. I noticed only one minus - very expensive restaurant but you always can eat somewhere else. I can recommed this hotel and definitely will stay here again.
“A fine place to stay”
We stayed in two similarly priced hotels in Barcelona and the AB Viladomat was far superior to the other. It's located close to several metro stations so it's easy to get to several differeny subway lines, making it easy to get around the city. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only problem was that our shower nozzle was slightly broken and they couldn't get it fixed during the stay (the shower was still usable).
“Barcelona's Best”
Located close to the heart of Barcelona, the Ab Viladomat is a hotel I will return to on my next visit to Spain. It is very clean, comfortable, and the hotel staff are very friendly. The internet access is convenient for travelers to use, even though it is essentially in the basemenet of the hotel. The overall feeling of the hotel was safe and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cleaning staff do tend to rearrange your belongings when they are cleaning, so be sure to tuck away all valuables from plain view, but other than that the service is excellent.
