“Walking distance from the best places in Barcelona”
Good people and good service. The location is walking distance from the Catalunia Place where everythings happens.
“Very Good!”
The hotel is very confortable and very well located for everyone that wants to be close to what is happening in Eixample...
“Great hotel but had some problems.”
The room service came late everyday to clean the after we had gotten back from sightseeing. They refused to provide an iron claiming it was a hazard. Finally the spa and sauna are a 16 euro surcharge. I feel they should not advertise these amenities without clearly stating this charge next to the amenity.
“Excellent Hotel”
Nice hotel, clean, safe. Great customer service! Can walk to the main attractions of the city if preferred, there is a lot to see and enjoy!
“Front desk staff was rude and not helpful”
I was looking forward to my stay at Acevi in Barcelona because of the great reviews that I had read online. When my fiance and I first arrived, we were impressed by the modern decor and convenient location of this hotel. However, our initial excitement wore off quickly as when we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic front desk agent. I felt like from the moment we arrived, the hotel staff just treated us both as a large inconvenience instead of guests at their supposedly four-star establishment. Instead of courtesy and smiles, we received blatant attitude and disrespect. The front desk staff did not give us much information about the hotel services- including breakfast times, breakfast cost/whether it was included in the package, spa location/amenities, and other useful information about the surrounding area. This information was also not available in the rooms. When I asked questions, I received exasperated sighs, eye-rolling, and often wrong information (we were told breakfast was included in our room package upon the first day of arrival and was quite surprised by the 150euro bill we got upon checkout). The experience at this hotel was not completely atrocious. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and our housekeeper was friendly. There was also one female front desk agent that provided us with useful information about the metro systems. However, I would not recommend anyone who places customer service high our their satisfaction list for hotels to ever stay here.
“Affordable and nice comfy hotel”
This hotel is modern, bright and still about only 15 - 20 minutes from the Plaza Catalunya, The rooms are spacious, have all the modern facilities present and the bathroom is simply gorgeous! The cleanliness is definitely good, and the cleaning lady was a very friendly lady. When looking into details, you will notice that not everything is as nice as it is described. Walls have had better times, ceilings need some new paint, the way the tap in the shower was attached to the bath with silicone was dramatic and ugly. The breakfast was ok, but one of the guys serving was talking so loud to his companion that everybody could hear what he was talking about. And it wasn't really positive... The car park under the hotel is small, and with big cars it will be difficult to move around due to the so many pilars. The free wireless internet is a nice extra. There is a lack of basic information about the hotel in the rooms. I had to go down to the reception to ask for the number of the reception! Still, I enjoyed the short stay because of the price, the location (which was not too bad). The hotel is quiet, and it is located close to 1 of the major roads into Barcelona centre. Definitely a hotel that can be recommended, with its flaws, but price-quality is definitely a big plus!
“Very nice hotel - Exceptional value”
The quality and location of the hotel exceeded expectations - the rate was the most reasonable we saw for the area and the room was spacious, modern, and clean! Exceptional value for the price. Would love to go back!
“comfy stay”
hotel was very modern, very clean. small room, but enough to rest comfortably. it was just a few minutes from main streets. we walked every day to plaza cataluña, stopped for breakfast on our way. Walking back was nice too.
“Love Barcelona and out Hotel!”
The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful in using the area map, identifying areas of interest, and using the Metro. The restaurants, shops & bakery surrounding the hotel made our stay in Barcelona awesome!
“Strongly recommend”
The hotel advertises free wireless Internet. When we had trouble connecting in our room, the front desk personnel offered us an Ethernet cord to connect more easily. Although we had power converters because we are from the US, we neglected to bring one with a ground. No problem, the hotel employees were able to loan us one. Our room was quiet and comfortable with a television that had programs in English. The only thing we would have liked -- and the hotel has no control over this -- there were not a lot of restaurants in the area. We did find a very nice Italian restaurant northeast of the hotel a couple blocks. We would stay there again -- mostly because of the great service.
