“Highly recommend”

Hotel was in quiet location but only 5 minutes from Monumental underground station. Excellent for getting about. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were very helpful and spoke English. Free WiFi and Safe in room were great. Breakfast for 8 euros was typical Spanish buffet, but plenty of it. Try local cafes for Coffee and hot tortilla in a baguette - unusual but nice. Small bar on opposite corner was good for drink at end of day.

Our stay at Acta Antibes was pleasant, it was only 10 min walk to the Temple de la Sagrada Familia, about 7 min to the closest train station and about 25 min walk to Passeig de Gracia where many shops are and also Gaudi's Casa Batlio. Staff is really nice and very helpful. Rooms are small, especially bathroom - but most of the hotels we stayed in Spain had small rooms and bathrooms and we are not fussy anyway. Breakfast was delicious - yummy crunchy rolls, cheese, salami, fruit salad, yogurt, sweet buns. I would say breakfast would be in top three of all hotels we stayed (they were 12 of them in our trip in Europe). Good job

The hotel is super clean and well maintained. The reception guys speak English and are very friendly. We arrived a little earlier and they gave as a room right away. I liked the neighborhood. It is pretty close to everything - if you don't mind walking or taking the metro (the station is 3 blocks away). The surrounding streets are very nice and quiet. There are plenty of cafes and supermarkets nearby. I am totally satisfied with my stay and will definitely recommend this hotel.

We were extremely satisfied with the hotel- the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a good standard, and there was also free WiFi in the rooms. We didn't have breakfast, although at 8.70€, and having eaten breakfast elsewhere, it was probably quite good value for money. The hotel was a couple of blocks from the metro station and one block away from a main road with good bus connections.

“Great Location, Barcelona not so great”

Great location in a quieter neighborhood, but easy to walk or use the metro to get around. Barcelona is a big city like New York, too crowded not so safe.

“Convenient and staff willing to go the extra mile”

Location is perfect if you're arriving at Estacio del nord bus station (especially late at night), it's just a 5-10 min walk away. Sagrada Familia is also very nearby-approx 10 min walk. Breakfast is 8 euros extra per person but is essentially an all-you-can-eat (cold) buffet, so worth the extra cost in our opinion! Hotel lobby was undergoing renovation at the time of our stay but this wasn't an inconvenience. The staff are very helpful - the man that checked us in was apologetic when we were initially given a twin room instead of a double and happy to give us a new one. I also needed them to post something back to my city in Spain, as the post office was closed during our entire stay, and they were happy to do this (and the item did arrive). Sachets of shampoo were provided in the bathrooms.

Very good hotel, staff were very helpful and provided adivise on were to visit etc. They even warned us about pick-pocket and to be frank, I nearly got mugged. Lady with a 13 year daughter saw me paying for the tickets at Sagria Familia station and when I tried to get in a train cabin the 13 year old girl pushed me to diffrent carrige (undid my bum bag pocket) and the mothers hand went to get the money out but, my wife watched all of what was going on and elbowed the lady and both the gorl and the lady fled out of the train! Back to the hotel, breakfast was good. Bathroom was bit small and you could hear everything next door from the bathroom but, as we only stayed one night, we felt it was good value for money and would gladly go back there. People must remember the hotel is only two star and price reflects that thus, if you wish to get more luxury then, go else were. July/August 2011 Two adults, 14 year old and a 10 year old
