Comfortable, good location, basic and cheapPosted Nov 8, 2013
A group of us (aged 25-38) needed somewhere to sleep for one night and our alternative would have been staying in hostel. We thought it would be nicer to stay somewhere more private and to have shared facilities, i.e., kitchen, lounge area, so an apartment was ideal. Beds, including roll beds, were very comfortable as were the pillows. Clean and a good location. Nothing fancy but would be comfortable enough for a longer stay, particularly if not planning to spend much time in the apartment.

Not too bad after the initial shock!Posted Oct 9, 2012
Cons: Stairs and street outside
Location: Very central in gothic area
Looks terrible from the outside but perfectly acceptable inside. OK for a cheap short break as long as you only use it as a base to sleep and eat, it would also help if you like lots of steep, narrow stairs and don't mind having to enter and exit a very dodgy looking door on a less than salubrious street. Nice and clean, lots of towels and everything you could need supplied, beds are weak and flimsy, but with good thick mattresses. Beware the phone number is essential as you have to phone to get someone to come to the door to let you in and give you the keys. Very good if cost is your overidding consideration, if money is not limited would suggest you go somewhere else.

Great for the money but a couple things must know!Posted Jul 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
Ok, Barcelona is expensive to stay in so I must qualify that first. I had to sleep 6 people on a budget and wanted to be walking distance to everything so this place fit my needs. This is a persons apartment they rent out for vacation use which is great but we were looking for something marked with the name and took forever to actually find the apartment. Also, I was never told that we should call the owner once we arrived at the airport so that someone could meet us there for the keys so we had to wait a little while for the keys. Also, there are many stairs which did not bother my young group but for anyone with any kind of physical ailment, this would not be a good choice. Overall, for the money and the location, I really liked it and would go back again.

Not impressedPosted Oct 23, 2011
The hotel did not resemble the photos on the expedia website. The lounge/kitcen area had a very bad smell that wouldn’t go away. We had just a few of small towels for a family of 5 people, our request for more towels was ignored. Our request for a mop to dry the wet bathroom floor (thanks to the useless shower curtain) was also ignored. The internet connection did not work, and the staff member I spoke to was not interested in attempting to help me resolve the problem. We liked the location, we would score it a 5 if public transport was available a bit closer. However I could imagine the location would not be to many travellers’ taste. The stairs were difficult for the elderly member of our party, indeed all of us with the suitcases. The 2 gentlemen we dealt with towards the end of our stay were pleasant, just a shame we didn’t get to speak to them earlier on.
