Excellent location and clean, modern apartment.Posted Oct 28, 2013
Location: Near Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, the bus routes, the metro and about 20 minutes walk from the seafront.
The location is excellent (although there is noise at night, as it is so central). We were 2 minutes from the Plaza Catalunya. The facilities in the apartment were good - large fridge, dishwasher, wardrobe, TV, but the apartment was a little smaller than I had imagined, with no separate bedroom, just a double bed round a corner. The staff were extremely helpful and let us leave the bags in the office once we had left the apartment. I would go back here, if I was again wanting to stay somewhere really central.

Great place on all countsPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Ariadna's knowledge, the washing machine and the central position.
Location: Too many to list. Gaudi's cathedral with audio guide and the Palau de la Musica English tour were standout attractions.
We were in the middle of travelling around Europe. Having accommodation with a washing machine was a priority. This apartment was well set up, centrally placed for the city, with easy access to the airport bus service. At 7.30 pm we landed at the airport, caught the Airport bus into the Plaza Catalunya, found our street, put in the supplied codes and were delighted to find our apartment all by about 9pm. The area felt busy and safe and well resourced with supermarkets, restaurants and bars all nearby. Barcelona covers a huge area and we used a two-day hop-on hop off bus with the Catalunya stop easy to access. We are walkers and we could walk to many of the parts of the city to explore. Ariadna, who was our contact person, was marvellous. She was a great source of the best tourist options and we could buy tickets from her.

The stay was completely satisfactory. The apartment is confortable, clean, safe and quiet. Our compliments to Amister for having a very competent and friendly administrator. She was always ready to answer our questins and to provide information about things to do in the city.

Centrally located apartment with everything you nePosted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Location great for exploring the sites of Barcelona, shopping and exploring the old town area. Apartment modern and clean.
Cons: Not easy to find the entrance on arrival
Location: Perfect if you want to explore the town and not just the beach.
My sons and I stayed x4 nights in this apartment and it was perfect. Location was very central only a couple of minutes walk from Catalunya Square, the metro and buses were located on the square and the hop on hop off bus 50 metres from entry. All the major shops were 2 mins walk away and the top of la rumba. Apartment was new, clean with large fridge, good coking facilities and a great washing machine. Air conditioning worked well. The admin staff provided great local information on arrival and as needed. The apartment had good security and felt safe walking to and from at night.

Good location close to Ramblas yet away from it.Posted Jul 4, 2013
We had a spacious two full bedrooms + a living/dining area with a kitchenette + washer/drier + dishwasher. Although the furnishings were a bit random it didn't matter much as were out most of the time. The location was great. Close to Ramblas and Catalunya Square yet away from the crowds. Shops and restaurants close by plus within easy reach of buses/metro/airport transfer buses. Very polite and help ful staff at the reception. Although the apartment had been cleaned before our arrival it was just OK. On the whole a very convenient and comfortable place to be if you are travelling as a family. Would certainly recommend to friends.

Location and ServicePosted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Amister Apartments are two blocks from the top of the Ramblas, which could not be a better location. Several close Metro stops. On the airport bus stop Universitat. Apartments have an excellent manager on location, unlike many apartment rental situations, and she was very helpful. Apartments were spacious, easily slept four comfortably, well equipped, good bathrooms and kitchens. The neighborhood is commercial, so it was quiet at night.

Great location & perfect for a short breakPosted May 13, 2013
Pros: The location, size of room, free wifi and room facilities
Cons: Needed a few extra kitchen implements to make it fully useful
Location: Perfect for a leisure break to see the sights
Amister Apartments are in a great location for a short leisure break, just minutes walk from La Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. We arrived late evening so had to go to the Amister Hotel to check in. However, they supplied a free taxi to the apartments. The apartments themselves don't look much from the outside and share a building with various other businesses / occupants. The room itself however was lovely, larger than the average hotel room and we found the small kitchen facilities good for storing / preparing food for breakfasts to save a little money. It could have done with a few extra basics though such as chopping boards, tea towels, washing up brushes. There's free wi-fi, a fridge/freezer, room safe and even a washing machine should you feel the urge to put a load on. We enjoyed the fact that we could just unpack and leave the room knowing that no-one would be in to clean around our belongings, so if you need someone to come in and make your bed / change your towels / fold the loo roll into a pretty shape etc, this place isn't for you. We just liked that we could treat it like home though. The apartments are manned for several hours in the morning and early evening. The receptionist was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Good apartment, great locationPosted May 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Whilst not exactly luxurious, these apartments are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. And in a great location 3mins from place catalunya. We loved having a separate kitchen and seating area - we got some lovely fresh fruit and pastries for breakfast and hams and cheeses for lunch from boqueria market and it was great to be able to eat in the apartment rather than always eating out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

nice apartment in the center of BarcelonaPosted Apr 27, 2013
Pros: excellent central location
Cons: small bathroom
we booked this hotel apartment through expedia and it was actually good choice. The room was very spacious and in good condition. Its like a home in the center of Barcelona. It is close to the airport bus and all tourist bus stations. The front desk lady was very cooperative and friendly. The only problem was the bathroom was very small and no bath, only a small shower was available. I would recommend this hotel for small families or even couples who prefer to stay in vacation rentals.
