Close to most Barcelona attractionsPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Safe, convenient location, much more space than a hotel room, could buy groceries and cook (if you wanted to!). Better value than hotel.
Cons: The shower didn't have a curtain (just a glass wall), and water got all over floor. Don't expect clean towels and sheets every day.
Location: Very close to La Rambla & lots of other attractions are an easy bus or train ride away. We walked just about everywhere.
Three adults stayed for three nights at the Amister Apartments. Check in was a breeze with Carolina, who also gave us recommendations, maps, etc. Amister is VERY strict on security in the building--much better security than a hotel. We had to punch in codes to get into the front door, the hallway to our apartment, and into our apartment. The local HOHO bus was right at the corner (three city routes, highly recommend), mass transit stop was at the corner, two-block walk to La Rambla, shops & restaurants in the same block and nearby, and best of all--STARBUCKS right across the street!

Great LocationPosted May 25, 2014
Pros: in close walking distance of the major sites & squares and it's super front office staff
Cons: nothing all good
Location: 2 minute walk to Catulyna square & La Rambla, 10 minute walk to the old quarter & Gaudi houses, 15 minute walk down to the waterfront.
Very easy to access from airport bus also close to Catulyna square & La Rambla. Best part was the extremely helpful and friendly staff at the front office. Good suggestions for restaurants & always very helpful.

Great for familiesPosted Apr 24, 2014
Convenient location (close to major sites and underground stations), very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4, quiet when windows and shutters are closed, excellent condition. Was like staying in our own place. Drawbacks - because it's not a hotel, staff was only available during limited hours and only one person seemed to be working. Long wait in line to speak to the staff or ask for help. Easier to communicate by email. Unit was clean and neat but for us who don't wear shoes indoors, the floor was still dirty for barefoot. Mop was in the unit so I just had to mop up a few more times to meet our needs - just as if we were staying at our own place. Also for some reason, we always seemed to run out of hot water after the 2nd person. Perhaps there was a bsetting we were supposed to adjust that we didn't know about. Never bothered to ask because we didn't want to wait to speak to the staff during the designated hours.

Convenient location, great staffPosted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: Location, customer service
Very conveniently situated - a short walk to La Rambla and Placa de Catalunya which is very convenient to walk to/ take a metro to other parts of BCN.. it's an even shorter walk to get to the Pl. Catalunya train/ metro station. Also very easy to get to and from the airport using the Aeroport bus (approx. 5-7 minute walk). Generally a pretty safe place at night or in the morning. The apartment itself was nice, clean and had basic stuff like microwave, plates, electric kettle, glasses etc.; they even provided a cleaning kit which made washing easier if needed. Although our bedroom was facing the main road, it wasn't noisy at all plus we had a good view of the christmas lights! Also, the door locks here are electronic so no need to worry about carrying keys/ fobs and it was easy for us to checkout too - just lock the door and go. But the biggest plus point we'd like to note is the customer service we experienced here during our stay. Ariana and her assistant were lovely and assisted us with any queries we had. We were also lucky that Ariana told us about a train strike that took place on the day we were planning to make a day trip to Montserrat - travel crisis averted! Overall, a nice, convenient place to stay with great customer service.

Great apartmentPosted Dec 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Close to las ramblas and taxis, tour buses, restaurants and shopping. Great location! Family of 4 fit nicely and they have a cloakroom to store luggage if your flight out is later than the 11am check out. We were able to spend the day in Barcelona.

Great ApartmentPosted Nov 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Amister Apartments. The apartment's location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do. I would definitely stay here again when I go back to Barcelona. We never met anyone from the hotel, but they were very accomodating through emails and giving us codes to get into the apartment.

Excellent location and clean, modern apartment.Posted Oct 28, 2013
Location: Near Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, the bus routes, the metro and about 20 minutes walk from the seafront.
The location is excellent (although there is noise at night, as it is so central). We were 2 minutes from the Plaza Catalunya. The facilities in the apartment were good - large fridge, dishwasher, wardrobe, TV, but the apartment was a little smaller than I had imagined, with no separate bedroom, just a double bed round a corner. The staff were extremely helpful and let us leave the bags in the office once we had left the apartment. I would go back here, if I was again wanting to stay somewhere really central.

Great place on all countsPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Ariadna's knowledge, the washing machine and the central position.
Location: Too many to list. Gaudi's cathedral with audio guide and the Palau de la Musica English tour were standout attractions.
We were in the middle of travelling around Europe. Having accommodation with a washing machine was a priority. This apartment was well set up, centrally placed for the city, with easy access to the airport bus service. At 7.30 pm we landed at the airport, caught the Airport bus into the Plaza Catalunya, found our street, put in the supplied codes and were delighted to find our apartment all by about 9pm. The area felt busy and safe and well resourced with supermarkets, restaurants and bars all nearby. Barcelona covers a huge area and we used a two-day hop-on hop off bus with the Catalunya stop easy to access. We are walkers and we could walk to many of the parts of the city to explore. Ariadna, who was our contact person, was marvellous. She was a great source of the best tourist options and we could buy tickets from her.
