Great locationPosted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Just a few minutes walk from La Ramblas and Port Vell. Only 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station at Drassanes. Room very quiet at night.
Cons: Because of the cost of upgrading the room, the hotel was quite expensive for 3* accommodation.
Location: Lots to see within easy walking distance but the metro system is also close by and very easy to use. The Barcelona City Bus Tour is highly recommended
This trip was to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We had booked a double room but on arrival were told that none were available so we had to pay extra to upgrade to a larger room. We didn't try the breakfast. Instead we walked up La Ramblas to Boqueria market where there was a fabulous selection of food. Our room was at the front of the hotel but was very quiet at night. The hotel is within easy reach of the airport. We used the train (to Sants) and metro (line 3 to Drassanes). Buy a T10 ticket which should give you 10 journeys and can be used by more than one person. The Barcelona City bus tour was excellent. We did both routes in one day.

Andante Hotel - Wow- What a great HotelPosted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: The staff and their pleasant ways and assistance and helpfulness. The roof top poll area, The Cleanliness and comfort of the room. The outside courty
We were looking for a relatively in expensive Hotel to stay in prior to our cruise out of Barcelona and we (6 of us) selected the Andante Hotel because of the reasonable and it's close proximity of the cruise port. We were awed when we arrived the hotel is ultra modern, Has a security system for entry after you check in. The facilities were amazing, included a gym, underground parking, roof top pol with a glorious view of Barcelona, a a central Courtyard area. with couches tables etc. Can not say enough about the staff. They were very at tentative, helpful and accommodating, they even offered discounts on tours both in Barcelona and outside of Barcelona. La Ramblas is only 2 blocks away for great shopping and exploring. There is a park just 2 blocks north of the hotel that is great on the weekends as they have vendor's tents and open air market. There are abundant restaurants in the park area as well Our Favourite was La Reina Del Rav. Great food and drink and very reasonable.

Great central locationPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The only thing I was not too keen on was the frosted glass sliding door to the bathroom. It did the job but was a little odd.
A lovely, basic hotel in an excellent location within easy walking distance of La Ramblas, the harbour and the Gothic area. The room was clean, well presented and well maintained. There is no bar which is a shame but there are very good vending machines in reception for hot and cold drinks and sandwiches. The hotel is very secure, you have a swipe card to get in and also operate the lift. When departing we left our cases in the very secure locker room downstairs, they even had a scales to check your baggage allowance, a fab idea. We ordered our taxi to the airport through the hotel and it arrived quickly and it was no more expensive. A great stay!

Somewhere to SleepPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: It was quite central. Only 7 minutes walk to the metro then 5 minutes ride on the metro to be central to all the shops. Staff were friendly.
Cons: The floors were all tiled, which made it noisy to hear the floor above with people clonking there shoes and it echoed. It could do with some mats down
Location: The was a harbour close by and a small shopping mall. Restaurants which were pricey. Las Rambas, the next street was boring, all souvenir shops.
This was my 2nd visit to Barcelona. I love this place, but I found the beds in this hotel very hard. The pool was cold as well. I am a shopoholic, and did not find all the things I was looking for in Barcelona, especially no bargin shoes or boots. I did find the leather very cheap. The food was good, a little pricey. There is a lovely pizza restaurant at the top of las Rambas at the top on the right hand side.

Stylish, convenient, affordablePosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the port, Las Ramblas, free Wi-Fi.
After coming from a cramped hotel room in Paris, we appreciated the extra room at the Andante, as well as the free Wi-Fi. The staff were wonderful, spoke impeccable English, and gave us suggestions for what to see on the night that we were there. We were in Barcelona for a cruise, and just walked to the port with our suitcases on the day of the cruise. The hotel is a block from Las Ramblas, where all the "fun" happens.

Great Hotel & LocationPosted Oct 12, 2013
Away from the noisey crowds but just a few minutes walk to La Rambla, so great location. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable with good wifi connection. There is a pool up on the roof, I didn't use it but there is a great view of the city from there. Big spacious lounge area in the lobby with vending machines. Lots of small markets just around the corner with supplies & a laundromat within minutes walk open till 10pm. They gave us an excellent dinner recommendation Rosal 34 within 10 minutes walk the best tapas ever, the stuffed zucchini flower & gnocchi in cream sauce are to die for! A little bit pricier but well worth it.

first hotel I have ever been to that I would recommend to anyone. right in the centre of Barcelona. 5 minute walk to las ramblas. very modern, very clean. only fault was it had no bar and no eating facilities except for breakfast, but we were out most of the day and night so didn't matter to us. breakfast perfect too. lockers to put cases in on day of departure. would rate as 5 star
