Great location

Great central location to La Ramblas, Gothic, and shopping. Inconvenient to have to check into hotel off site, but still manageable. Gal was very helpful. Overall, not bad for buck.

Gothic Barri Apartment

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Location and the 4 beds.
Cons: Larger soap bars and trash cans.
Location: Excellent coffee shop when you go down and Rest. Via 70 nearby at Las Ramblas.
We disembarked from our cruise ship, took a 5 min cab that dropped us at Las Ramblas, walked a short distance and were received upon arrival with a warm, courteous and friendly welcome by Rosaura. After filling and signing the required form we were handed our keys and took a small, claustrophobic very small, elevator to our 5th floor apartment that had every convenience needed for our 3 nights stay. The apartment has 3 individuals a/c , kitchen utensils, coffee maker, glassware, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, cutlery, cooking ware, 4 beds, enough towels for 5 adults, toiletries although there were only 2 tiny soaps, I would call them soap chips, that were not enough for one person let alone 5. The elevator lands between floors, so we had to go either up or down a staircase of 5-6 uneven stairs, (didn't count them). Our room was to the back so it was darker than what I prefer. There is a roof top terrace with partially obstructed views of the cathedral but nice for a glass of wine and maybe a lunch meal. I found the garbage cans too small for a group of 5 adults. The one in the bathroom could be little more than a large drinking container, lol. The place is not sound proof. I could hear my family speaking at the lobby from the 5th floor. Otherwise the place is pretty quiet. We did have a nice stay at this place, felt safe and Rosaura is an excellent front desk person.

Perfect location right off La Rambla

Posted May 17, 2014
We loved the location, however it is in the heart of La Rambla and on one of those quaint streets that is residential so there is a fair amount of noise 24/7. Also the bed was not comfy at all, but the apartment was extremely clean and roomy. The lady in the office was so helpful and kind even pre arranging a cab for us for a early morning (3:30am) departure!!

Average hotel close to La Ramblas

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Its location.
Cons: Provision of cleaning facility and breakfast. More keys. Better communication facility and possibility of opening the door without coming down.
Location: The market, cathedral, Dali and Picasso museums, good restaurants, Columbus column, Place de Catalunya.
The location of the apartment was excellent. We could access the metro and all monuments and sights very easily. The hotel staff was very co-operative but were available only unto 2.30pm and only on weekdays. There was no intercom to communicate. Cleaning facility is not offered. There is only one restroom and that was a problem with 4 guests. Breakfast is not provided. The lift is small and luggage had to be shifted to the fifth floor one at a time. Only one key is provided and we had to come down to open the door for the rest of us. Clean bedlinen should have been provided.

2 x Adults + Toddler + Pushchair

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Cons: The bed's are a bit hard and lumpy
Stayed here - two adults and a toddler, plenty of room, kitchen has 2 rings , fridge and a microwave - we managed to cook fine (given lots of restaurants don't open when toddlers need fed). Nearest supermarket on La Ramblas approx 5 mins walk away open 10:00-->22:00 daily. We were on top 5th floor - lots of stairs! the lift [elevator] just fits one adult and a small folding pushchair [stroller], if you had a monster chariot e.g. a double buggy you would probably struggle to fit in. Also the lift door is offset from the room door by 3 or 4 stairs - not an issue if 2 adults but one may have difficulties. Local Staff very friendly, reception is open 08:30-12:30 outside this the 24 hour reception is in hotel 10 mins walk away - if you arrive on AiroBus at Pl,.Catalan its only a minor detour to pick up key from the hotel,, they then give you a very good map to find it Only 5 mins walk to Liceu Metro station for the green (L3) line - which has lifts to platform from the street. Alley it is in looks a bit desolate at times but we never felt unsafe, our top floor was very quiet at night (although this obviously depends who else is in the other apartments!)

Highly recommended

Pros: The location is excellent, very close to La Rambla. Quiet and comfortable. Staff were personable and attentive.
Location: Right in the heart of Barcelona. Take full advantage of the laundry service located across the laneway, best deal in the city!
Wonderful location, fully appointed apartment. Access by stairs and/or small elevator. Highly recommend for couples or a small family.

Very satisfied, close to all.

We booked two rooms with 4 people per room and I say it is comfortable for all of us. The amenities include refrigerator, stove, microwave, blowdry, kitchen utensils, plates, mugs and glass, hot water, 2 A/C / heater (1 per room), kitchen table, 1 small LCD TV, 1 intercom to open the main door in case one of your members did not bring the key. Neighborhood alley is small but very safe but it is very close to the main street with shops, supermarket, and the basilica of Barcelona. Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Carrefour (supermarket), McDo, taxi stand, buses including hop on hop off bus are walking distance. The only caveat that I see is that you have to go to another hotel to check in or checkout which is 10-12 minutes of walk. But overall, I'm very satisfied with the place.

Excellent central location

Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Quieter than you might expect considering it's location. Could not ask for a more central spot. Right next to the Metro, Las Ramblas & Gothic quarter.
Cons: If I was being picky, we would have liked an actual double bed (rather than 2 singles pushed together) and a lock on the bedroom door!
Location: You could not ask for a better location. Everything will be either within walking distance or a few stops on the Metro away. Supermarket close by too.
Great apartments in a good central location just off the north end of Las Ramblas. You have beaches, shops and all the sights and sounds of Barcelona within reach. We had a great stay. Apartment was a little dark (not a huge amount of natural light) but clean, safe and air conditioned! Heard a lot about the dangers of Barcelona and was a little worried about staying in a narrow, dark alley off Las Ramblas - I needen't have been. We felt very safe, night or day. In fact Barcelona felt safe and friendly. I was also worried about noise. You could not have guessed you were off Las Ramblas - very quiet.
