“Would certainly go back”
If you simply need a clean, pleasant place to sleep, for a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend these apartments.
The only thing to note is that this is NOT a hotel. As long as you keep that in mind you can't really fault this place; especially as it is cheaper than just about everywhere else in Barcelona.
As it's not a hotel you don't get some of the usual hotel facilities e.g. restaurant, and they don't clean your room every day; but for a 3 night stay like ours, this really was not a problem. But because it's an apartment you get basic kitchen facilities (we had a kettle, fridge/freezer, combi oven, sandwich toaster, etc) which is a big plus point.
The toilet/bathroom was very clean, and the shower was excellent - which seems to be rarity these days.
The only down side about the room was the fact that the beds were pretty creaky and uncomfortable, but after a long day of walking around the city, it didn't really matter.
One of the best things about these apartments is that they have a reception, which is staffed between 10am and 8pm, so you don't have to meet the owner to collect keys, like you do with a lot of similar places.
The location is very central; about a 10-minute walk from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. The surrounding streets look a little intimidating if you're not used to living in a city centre, but we never felt unsafe walking around, even late at night.
Overall, I was very impressed, particularly for the comparatively low price.
