Hotel is nice. Has nice rooftop areaPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, hotel staff very accommodating. Not in touristy area, but only short walk from Gaudi's houses. Roof top area with great views
Cons: Size of standard room is very small with small full size bed
Location: Gaudi houses, sagrada familia
Hotel is nice, has a nice rooftop area to lay out. Pool is the size of a tub, but can be refreshing if used. In a nice quiet location near lots of very good restaurants. Feel like a local.

Amazing location, nice hotel, small roomsPosted Oct 18, 2014
Great location near Diagonal metro station, which means direct lines to la Sagrada Família, and the Gothic quarter, plus Eixample is the best part of Barcelona. Hotel is very nice, great staff. Only downside is rooms are pretty small.

Great hotel for travellers on a budget.Posted Oct 1, 2014
The standard room is small, though flawlessly clean. Location is superverb. 2 blocks from the Rambla, 4 from Passeig de Gracia, close to many public transportation stops, etc. The reception desk provides umbrellas when it rains and may book reservations at reataurants. I stayed there following another hotel where I was accomodated on ocassion of a conference. The Astoria was half the price! Smaller but just as clean and practical. Con: complimentary wifi was kind of slow and would not work at times.

Quiet HotelPosted Aug 17, 2014
We came here on our Honeymoon. We found the hotel quite easily its right near the Diagonal metro station. The room was tidy and was cleaned every day. The only problem we had wad our air conditioning broke in the middle of the night and flooded our room. The hotel was full so we were unable to move but to their credit they fixed it the next day but did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience.

Perfect hotel, perfect locationPosted Aug 9, 2014
Astoria is in one of the nicest areas if Barcelona. Great base for exploring the city due to it's closeness to transport links. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel was very clean & the decor was modern as well as classical. Our room was a very good size, all amenities you could need. Well insulated so you weren't disturbed at all & we were even near the lift. Breakfast was always fresh & replenished continually so even if you went down nearer the end of the service you still had full choice. The area has lots of traditional bars and restaurants as well as Italian & chinese. Lots of choice & a great area to wander round, shop & stop off for coffee or something stronger.
