Great quality hotel at a very reasonable price

Posted Nov 11, 2014
I'd really recommend this hotel... felt like 4* at 3* prices. Staff were very friendly. It's a great part of town: although it's not central central (ie not off La Rambla), there are loads of good bars and restaurants nearby (wonderful little cake shop for breakfast 1 minute walk away: turn right out of the hotel and first right - the place that sells cup cakes), and it's near the cool Gracia neighbourhood, where you can spend an evening if you want to get away from the usual tourist trail. Only downside was no coffee facilities in the room.

Hotel is nice. Has nice rooftop area

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, hotel staff very accommodating. Not in touristy area, but only short walk from Gaudi's houses. Roof top area with great views
Cons: Size of standard room is very small with small full size bed
Location: Gaudi houses, sagrada familia
Hotel is nice, has a nice rooftop area to lay out. Pool is the size of a tub, but can be refreshing if used. In a nice quiet location near lots of very good restaurants. Feel like a local.

Amazing location, nice hotel, small rooms

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Great location near Diagonal metro station, which means direct lines to la Sagrada Família, and the Gothic quarter, plus Eixample is the best part of Barcelona. Hotel is very nice, great staff. Only downside is rooms are pretty small.

Great hotel for travellers on a budget.

Posted Oct 1, 2014
The standard room is small, though flawlessly clean. Location is superverb. 2 blocks from the Rambla, 4 from Passeig de Gracia, close to many public transportation stops, etc. The reception desk provides umbrellas when it rains and may book reservations at reataurants. I stayed there following another hotel where I was accomodated on ocassion of a conference. The Astoria was half the price! Smaller but just as clean and practical. Con: complimentary wifi was kind of slow and would not work at times.
