Rooms are furnished in dark brown woods with rich autumnal decor and bespoke modernist chairs and floor lamps.

Wall-mounted desks run the length of one wall, while sofas sit in front of floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows, opening on to narrow balconies. “Great Hotel in a Great Location of Barcelona!”

Hotel is located in a great location of Barcelona. Hotel is a block from the metro station. There are great restaurants across the street from the hotel. Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and the port are 5 minutes away from hotel, just hop on the metro all you will be there. Hotel service was great! Will stay again at this hotel when go I back to Barcelona.

Any time of year is great! I visited Barcelona at the end of Fall and weather was great!

“I will definetly stay at this hotel again.”

This is the best hotel I ever stayed in Europe. The rooms are big and modern; location is perfect- close to the Metro line(L1 and L3) and all the attractions in Barcelona. If I ever visit Barcelona again, I am for sure staying at this hotel again.

“Great hotel with amazing serivce”

I have to say I was completely pleased with our experience at B Hotel. The entire staff were professional and very friendly. They also spoke perfect English when I had trouble with my Spanish. The staff was very helpful with suggestions with restaurants/tapas bars. The rooms are very modern and always clean. The lights are a little hard to figure out how to work as you need to use your hotel card to keep them turned them on. The bar service is great especially with Sara. The roof terrace is amazing with a nice view and pool. The hotel is a little far from the city center and la ramblas but is easy to access as the subway system is close and easy to use. The hotel comes with free wi-fi and has three computers use can use to access the internet. The only major downside to our experience at the hotel is that there is construction out in the front of the hotel so you had to walk around the street to access the hotel. The noise is not bad unless you are wanting to sleep in but who would want to in such a beautiful city. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

We would recommend to stay anywhere close to La Ramblas as this is close to all the main attractions and close to the subway and great restaurants.

Getting around

We used a book called Mustsees Barcelona as a tour guide instead of spending lots of money on tour buses. We purchased the Barcelona card which I highly recommend as it gives you free access to the subway and metro and gives you discounts on many attractions and museums. The subway is easy to follow and understand and runs very frequently. It does get quite packed depending on what time of the day it is. Taxis are very easy to catch and cheap unless you are going from the airport to your destination. The is a cable car that runs from Montjuic to the Barceloneta if you want to go to the beach.

Must see

La Ramblas- Check out the Sant Joseph Market. Barri Gottic which is where the Catedral Santa Eulalia is amazing. Museums-Museu Nacional d-Art de Catalunya in Montjuic (need a complete day to observe if you are an art fanatic.) Dali Barcelona-his art is eccentric and amusing. Gaudi's buildings-Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, La Sagrada Familia Font Magica-we only got a glimpse of this as we were on the cab. Looked beautiful from afar.

Breakfast-Cafe Zurich and restaurant Nuria in La Rambla Lunch and dinner- Nuria, Ferran (really good tapas), 4 Gats (Catalan chicken and scallops are amazing).

“Great, modern boutique hotel”

Great staff, attention to environmental issues, excellent rooftop pool (although the weather didn't allow me to enjoy it as much as I would have liked). Highly recommend. Only drawback was noise and congestion of shopping center congestion next door but that should be finished by end of March 2011

“Always a favorite”

I have stayed at the B-Hotel on many occasions when visiting Barcelona and have recommended it to several friends. The staff has always been helpful and they have always been able to accomodate my early check-ins. The rooms are large, contemporary and clean. They have a lighting system in the rooms that take a little time to figure out. There is wifi access throughout the hotel and three computers available to guest use. I have never eatten at the hotel but have enjoyed visiting the bar with friends. The infinity pool on the roof is also a great place to enjoy drinks. The hotel is just steps from Plaza Espana and the train station and it is close to metro stops. There are a limited number of restaurants within a few block range. The only downside to this trip was the noise generated by major construction nearby. This should only be a temporary situation.

“Great Location”

The hotel location was perfect for using the aerobus from the airport and for accessing the subway to explore the city. We appreciated having free wireless in our rooms. Although the breakfast buffet was extra, it was worth the 10 euro fee. The front desk staff was most helpful with wifi connections, directions and maps. We liked the hardword floors in the room. The hotel will be very popular with soccer fans when the nearby new stadium is completed. Great tapas at Taller de Tapas. They have several locations and offer inside or plaza dining.

“Very satisfied!!!”

We went to Barcelona and we had a fabolous time there because of staying at this hotel! It is in a very good location and the transport to all places is extremely easy! The pool and the view from there is magnificent! I recommend warmly this hotel to everyone!!!

“Modern Boutique Hotel”

The hotel was great! Good location and very close to the metro station. Needed to take metro to go to the main touristic areas and shopping areas, but it was okay. Very modern and large size room. It was little bit difficult to find switches as other reviewers mentioned, but not a big deal. The room was clean and comfortable to stay. But, the bed was little bit too soft. The bad thing was there was a construction going on right next to the hotel. Little bit noisy during the day time and dusts flying in the area... Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

“Loved the pool which is why I chose this hotel”

Hotel staff was very nice. They spoke English which helped. Good location except for construction next door. Loved the pool and sitting on top of the hotel. View was great. I would stay there again. Expedia had a great reate which is why I booked with you.

Near Plaza Espana. Very easy to take the bus to La Ramblas.

Very easy to take the No. 9 bus to and from the La Ramblas.
