“Satisfied visitors from Indiana”
The hotel was very "modern design oriented", as was much of Barcelona. So you felt like you were staying at a upscale hotel for a modest price. Our room was spacious and we loved the shower system (good spray options, plenty of water, and quickly heated water). We have been to a few European countries/hotels, and have found most beds very hard. The beds in this hotel were very comfortable. I don't want to give any negatives, since we loved our stay in Barcelona, but i suppose some people might be uncomfortable about the surrounding area. It didn't bother us, since we wanted to get a rounded taste of the city's culture. But at night, there were a few prostitutues in the area and a couple offers for illegal substances. But none of these "small business people" were pushy or aggressive.
A Metro station was about a 10 min walk from the hotel. We had breakfast at nearby El Cafeti (60 second walk, much less expensive than hotel breakfast).
All in all, my wife and i recommend this hotel (since she picked it!)
