Big let down!
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: Style
Cons: Area
Location: Dog rough
Me and my wife came to barcelona for our 1st anniversary. The hotel is located in between some horrible streets. Homeless people drinking not even 50 metres away. Not a place to walk around at night! On top of that, i asked for flowers and chocs to be delivered to the room on my anniversary before i arrived and they didnt deliver as they said. Hotel is nice once inside but how long do you stay in the hotel when you are away???

Great hotel
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: cleanliness and the helpful staff
Cons: The outside decor looks a bit strange
Location: Very close to the lively centre.
A good quality hotel with very helpful staff. The level of light in the hotel takes a bit of getting used to - its cool and it works but seems strange at first. This certainly isn't a reason to dismiss the hotel. Its a 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas so close to where it's happening.

Great hotel for young or old, central location
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: Comfortable room, nice facilities, great view from the top, always taxis outside, good food(breakfast)
Cons: Breakfast was a little expensive and could have been included in the price
Location: Central location which was good, but I don't think I would feel comfortable walking through that area at night time.
My daughter recommended this hotel as she had stayed there before and I must say I really enjoyed it too (I am 82 years old)

Modern Hotel, Good Views from the Roof & Good Food
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: Good views of Barcelona from the roof. The evening meal was excellent and they provided a good choice for breakfast.
Cons: The excellent rooftop view is unfortunately obscured by the wall round the edge. The room is open plan with cubicles for the shower and toilet.
Location: The hotel is close to Las Ramblas. It is located in one of the poorer areas. We felt a little wary, but nothing bad happened.
Overall, we were happy with our stay. The hotel has a modern design, which is very much a matter of personal taste. Some people will love it, but those with a more conservative taste may not. It is great to go up to the roof for a panoramic view of Barcelona, and to sunbathe. However, the wall seriously restricts the view close to the hotel, which is a great shame. As the receptionist warned us, the rooftop "swimming pool" is little more than a jacuzzi. The room was modern and clean. It had an electric curtain, which was a hi-tech touch. We had a kingsize bed which was comfortable. The arrangement was open plan. The shower was in one cubicle, and the toilet was in another behind a sliding door. The sink was quite near the bed. This made it hard to go to the toilet without disturbing your partner. We had an excellent tapas dinner. The breakfast spread was also excellent, with plenty of hot and cold food to choose from. This included plenty of fruit and a georgeous chocolate torte. At one breakfast, some of the food had run out and the staff were slow to replenish it. The hotel is close to the Picasso Museum, harbour, Maritime Museum and Las Ramblas. It is located in quite a poor neighbourhood. Most of the population are immigrants and we passed a few prostitutes. This made a us feel rather nervous, but nothing bad happened.

Pros: Clean stylish comfortable and near Las Ramblas.
Cons: None
Location: Easy access to las Ramblas, the market and port.
Modern stylish hotel, which certainly does not lack in comfort. Stayed for four nights, city break with my partner, breakfast only taken at the hotel but food and service was great. I contacted the hotel twice before our stay and requests were delivered on our arrival.

Smart hotel, close to the city centre.

Open plan rooms looked very smart but were short on space to put things down. I wasn't keen on having coffee-making equipment and personal belongings splashed by water from the wash basin. The 'swimming pool' is tiny - really just a kids paddling pool, but overall the hotel is very smart and very central.

Great location and comfort in Barcelona

Nice room in a great location. Staff was great. "mood lighting" (pink) was a little crazy but we got a kick out of it. Would stay here again for sure when we return to Barcelona.

Great hotel for couples

Pros: Design and the quality of the room
Cons: Charging £5 for room service and the small swimming pool
Location: Very close to shopping area however a bit rough at night
Great hotel, very design, high tech, colourful, within walking distance of the main shopping area. Very friendly and multi lingual staff. Everything is new and clean. My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. It is in a parallel street to Las Ramblas which is very popular however it is a bit rough at night (prostitutes are not far, junkies can be seen sometimes...) It doesn't feel very safe at night but the hotel is great for everything else.:-) Definitely worth staying at. :-)
