Excellent base for exploring BarcelonaPosted Jul 10, 2014
Great location , studio apartment perfect for family (2 adults , 5 yr old & 2 yr old ). Receptionist was very helpful on checking in & explaining things to do . Situated on a nice traditional street with tapas bars , small play park & street entertainment at times so very atmospheric . Only 5 mins walk to metro .

Good location but that is about allPosted Jun 2, 2014
The apartments are in a great location in El Born. If you want only a base, to drop your bags and get a little sleep, then the place could be okay. But our apartment was very small (we are a family of three) - much smaller than the pictures suggested. It also was not functional - the shower leaked all over the bathroom, the toilet was half busted, and the bathroom ceiling leaked. Cheap furniture - one uncomfortable bed, and a fold-out couch that did not work properly. There is no laundry in the apartment. And it just had a depressing feel to it. Overall, it was so disappointing that we fled the apartment after one night and spent the remainder of the week at a different (larger and more comfortable) apartment. Reserving at this apartment was a costly mistake - the manager agreed to refund us only the final night's stay.

Great location but very tiredPosted Feb 27, 2014
My stay was okay but I wouldn't recommend it. I was in Barcelona for a conference and was essentially overcharged as it was a busy period. The woman who checked me in was very nice. The room was just very tired. The lock on the door didn't work properly and there was a lot of noise during the night which prompted me to put a chair under the door handle so that I would hear if someone tried to enter. The facilities were just worn out and the TV didn't work too well. All channels were in Spanish. I did like the pedestrian zone and the location. That was the most pleasant part of the stay. I think that the owners need to spruce the rooms up.

We enjoyed our stay. Apartment was located near attractions and easily located. No problems with street noise.

Great place in the Heart of the Old CityPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Not necessarily the easiest place to get to - but once your there walking distance to all of the old City, Beaches and Marina - with great Restaurants right out side your door in the Plaza - The only cleanliness issue was the Shower - remedied with a sponge/cleaner - 3/4 Kitchen for those inclined - full refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and Microwave - even a full playground out the front door for little ones. Checkin on Sunday morning wasn't an issue and done on the premises - contrary to the website - overall a good place to wind down after a cruise when you need to be off the ship by 9:30AM - Secure onsite storage so you can explore Barcelona if your apartment isn't quite ready. Will use again if I Cruise again from Barcelona.

Would work... but better options.Posted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: Good location - lots of dining options, but that is about all.
Bad start. No reception open, so had to get keys from across town. Keys, of course, did not work. Had to borrow phone @ restaurant to call. They sent someone over in 45 to get us in. we told them 3 people - and confirmed 3x by email, but only got a room for 2 people. Loud. Really loud street noise.

Small but idealPosted Jun 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
The location of this hotel was fab! so near to everything! My boyfriend and I walked everywhere which saved us some pennies! The Hotel was 5 minutes away from La Ramblas as well as Port Vell and the Cathedral. The room was small but had everything we needed, and as we were out most of the time it didn't need to be much bigger! The hotel itself was just outside the busy hustle and bustle of Barcelona, it was located next to some lovely cafes, pubs and supermarkets. We had a problem with our key one night, but we rang the hotel and they were there in 20 mins which was great! The maids came in and made our beds every day and changed them halfway through the holiday which was useful :) Atmosphere of the place was great

Allada Apartments BCNPosted Jun 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
Great location in the old part of town, nice restaurants and cafés around the hotel OK room and not too much street noise (although I was staying at the groundfloor), but the hotel itself is very noisy...felt almost like the noise level of a youth hostel, which for the price definitely was too loud All in all recommendable as a clean and modern place to stay in a very central location

HorriblePosted Oct 11, 2010
Check in was at another location and I never would have made this reservation had I known that. It was extremely inconvenient and the person on duty was rude and completely unhelpful. While waiting at the hotel I was robbed. I reported it to the manager who was supposed to give me the film from the security camera so I could report it to the police; he never provided the film or returned my call.
