Gradually declining experience
The living experience here is gradually declining… and staff is rude. That was a good starting at the very beginning, greeted by a very nice lady and explained everything clearly. The room was in good condition and big with all the facilities. However, there are a few things that we felt the apartment needs massive improvements. 1. Supplies of personal hygiene products We in a group of three are staying for 3 nights. 2 bottles of shampoo and shower gel are barely enough for us. We then asked for one extra shower gel, but the receptionist said we usually provide just 2 for each room. If you need extra, you will be charged… To be honest, as a 4-star apartment which the room price is not that cheap shouldn’t propose this restriction to the tenants. This should be a low cost for the hotel but they can in turn get a better reputation. This is what the management should consider. 2. Handling of trash and rubbish As a 4-star apartment, we didn’t expect to handle our trash on the checkout date. This doesn’t sound to be a very good living experience. 3. Passive aggressive manner from the staff We have stored our luggage on the checkout date. When we tried to get our luggage, there was no one at the reception and there was a sign saying “Back in 5 minutes”. Eventually, when the staff came back, he gave us an attitude by blaming us disturbing his lunch hour.

So many things were bad during the stay, but the most disgusting thing is this. I saw small flies here and there, and wandering where it comes from, and found out that it was from the open ceiling of the open loft. I checked it by standing on the counter top, and found a lot of garbage on the loft ceiling including used paper plate with food stain on. As result, I stayed jail cell with garbage next to my bed. Very disappointed and disgusting. I chose this property because I had very good experience with DerbyHotels Collection, and trusted their management, but this property proved me wrong. It was totally unwanted experience in Derby Hotels.

I want my money and time back
I am not a picky person but I was so disappointed with this place and it negatively impacted our time in Barcelona. Check in was very inconvenient, as we arrived when no one was on site and had to pay for an expensive taxi to pick up the keys. The room was not as described and sleeping arrangements were uncomfortable. More generally, the place had the feel of a prison. The rooftop pool hours were very limited. Once we were able to access it, we saw it was seriously neglected. My child swam anyway and got terribly sick. When I reported the issue I got a brush off twice, with staff insisting that no one else had complained. I paid three times less at other places in Spain and had a far more pleasant experience.

Unhelpful and like a prison cell
Hotel was a nightmare from arriving after the flight was delayed. Refused to check us into the hotel even though there was a person on the desk looking at u through the glass at 19:00. Instead said we had to come back 4 hours later, or go to the other side of the city to collect the keys. Called 3.5 hrs later to say we were going to collect the keys and they said that option is not available anymore, need to come back at 1am or go to another location to get the keys. By this time it is 23:30 at night with 2 children in tow. Left with no choice, we then travel back and forth to an alternate location, costing us 30EUR in taxis and 1hr of time before we can then get into the apartment. They then refused to pay any compensation for this arrangement we were never told about, instead saying we could have self checked-in!! Which was never mentioned in any paperwork or on any of the phone calls. Once you get in the place is like mini prison cell blocks, where I was told call off if I hear of any parties going on. I understand for the price what I was getting, but add another 30EUR on top and no one that seemed to care, it’s one I won’t be visiting again. Also spoke to hotels.com for the refund and they too washed their hands of the issue on several occasions, even though they were told of the alternative checkin situation and never passed that information on. Took 3 conversations with hotels.com of 20-40 minutes to get any decent feedback. Not great service all for 30 EUR.

They charge $8 “tourist” fee per person. Make sure you get there at the times they ask, other wise, like they said, you will have to wait OR go to another location to check in. There was rat poop on one of the mattresses, one of the tv’s didnt work, one of the showers didnt have a closing door so the water wouldn’t come out, the place took over two hours to warm up, and you have to take out the trash. The only positive I found was the location. Close to La Sagrada Familia and other must sees… didn’t have to pay for parking bc i was lucky both nights and found free parking… other wise, it would have been an additional $20 euros

Very nice apartment and 10 minutes walk from beach but check-in not possible between 6.30-11pm. You have to walk one hour to collect key (or take taxi). Reception helpful and contactable on phone but not great to arrive off a plane and have to lose time collecting a key from a different location. Restriction not clear when making non-refundable booking.

처음 도착했을 때 크리스마스로 인해서 무인 체크인 시스템을 이용했음 방법이 수월했고 샐프 체크인을 하기에 무리없었음 숙소 자체도 깨끗하고 지하철 역에서 5분 거리에 있어서 시내 접근하기 쉬웠음 바닷가를 걸어 갈 수 있는 거리에 있어서 야경 보기 좋았음 그러나 주변에 볼거리 할거리가 하나도 없음 또한 옆방의 소음이 새벽 2시까지 들리고 사소한 생활소음까지도 전부 들리는 상황이라 예민한 사람들은 잠을 잘 수가 없음

Duplex Aparthotel in Poblenou
The location of the Aparthotel was convenient to the Metroand Poblenou area of Barcelona. The unit was well equipped with appliances an utensils. It was perfect for our familly of two adults and 2 early teen children. Downside, the beds could be more comfortable and the sound carries through the wall.

Trendy and modern
Republik is a modern designed aparthotel. took a while to find it as it’s not clearly mentioned .. but loved it .. Really good location..with a metro line next to you and free parking 8pm to 8am everyday.. walk to the beach is easy.. we loved the interiors ..trendy and open space.. big bed for us and sofa bed was comfortable for my boys. Kitchen was well equipped With a dishwasher and big fridge freezer . Bathroom toilet was very clean. Supermarket right below . Negatives ..they didn’t provide a microwave .. parking for the day is very expensive 22 euros a night. There was a email explaining check in procedure saying that you can either come before 630pm or you have to pay extra to get a person in to do check in. Self check in option was given for which they wanted a dep of 250 euros.. Swimming pool is on the roof top which was too cold for Oct. lifts are good Rubbish was expected to be thrown by us. we stayed for three days and the rooms were not serviced.. they did say they wouldn’t be. All in all highly recommended place if you want to enjoy Barcelona with style .. Best bits.. they provided a startup pack with coffee tea sugar creamer and oil ..also a Startup bag with washing up liquid and a dishwasher tab. Helped without rushing to the supermarket everyday.

Industrial style apartments in good location
Located walking distance to beach. Back of the old Olympic village area. 5 minute walk to metro train. €7-10 for taxi to Sagrada Família. Modern apartment in quiet neighbourhood. Great beds, small but adequate kitchenette, very small lounge area, for 4 people just too small. Local bakeries nearby are handy for breakfast. Opposite apartment is coffee roaster serving great coffee. Rooftop pool (small) great after a day of sightseeing, closes at 8pm. Rooftop has view of Sagrada Família in the near distance. Management very helpful and provide guidance on seeing main attractions. Great place to stay!

Good apartments in a quiet area of Barcelona.
The view from the roof top pool is amazing (Torre Agbar and Sagrada Familia). The beach is an eight minute walk away. There are three metro stations nearby to get around and this is cheap and easy to use. There should be a bit more information in reception about where everything is eg. shops, bars restaurants etc as there's nothing visible nearby. It's a very quiet semi-industrial/residential area and not touristy. Things are there but can be hard to find and took us a few days to settle. The beds are comfortable, the sofa-beds are not. The air con can be noisier than usual, but we would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Great location, however....
These open plan apartments are suitable for family’s. A metro 1 block away, a large supermarket 3 blocks walk away, small rooftop pool & a short walk to the beach. HOWEVER, it appears to attract groups in their 20’s-40’s who want to party & as this is loft type accommodation the noise travels! We stayed in apartment 13, the first night a group of lads decided to make a loud drunken appearance at 5am & hold an extremely loud conversation on the balcony for 45 minutes. The following 2 nights were quiet. The final night no.14 decided to have a party. It originally started on the balcony at 11pm whereby 8 people were smoking outside our door. I politely asked them to move away & asked they keep the noise down because of my 3 children. Within minutes the music was blaring from their apartment. Not wanting to spoil everyone’s fun I let it run until midnight. At this point I complained to the security guard who was wandering around the concrete garden and could hear the noise. He informed me his senior was dealing with it. At 12.15am I complained again to be told no.14 had claimed to be ‘watching tv’. Even though you could hear the music from outside the room, I took the security guard inside my apartment so that he could experience the noise we were hearing. This time it was dealt with or so we thought. It went quiet for 45 minutes then started up again at 1am. The website clearly states no parties but from experience noise disturbance is not challenged unless someone complains.

Four of us stayed here whilst visiting Barcelona for the Primavera Sound Festival. The apartment was perfectly located for the festival and you can even walk if you needed to. The metro being so close made it easy to get around and into town when we wanted. The local area was quite quiet but we found a few nice restaurants however their opening times were pretty inconsistent. The apartment itself was probably a little small for 4 people with little space remaining once the sofa bed was open. The pool area was well kept and a good place to get some sun during the day but did get quite busy.

Really nice stay
We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were lovely and really helpful booking taxi's for us. The room was really nice and everything was clean. Taxi was 40 euros from the Airport, 15 to City Centre, and 6 to the clubs on the beach front. There's also loads of nice little places to eat around this area. and its a short walk to the beach. Only thing was, we brought tea bags but the lead on the kettle is too small to plug in and be used (1.3) Would highly recommend and stay again if I come back to Barcelona.

It's a very good apartment, close to the beach
It's a very good apartment, close to the beach and very well communicated. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The only problem is the check-in and check-out times. Between 6 pm to 11 pm there is no one to make the check-in, and if you arrive at the apartment in this gap it´s needed to go to the central offices that s incredible far from there.
