I stayed here with my infant son and had a horrible time. We left 2 nights early (stayed 1 out of 3) because we couldn't stand all the noise. Also, before the elevator there are 6 stairs, so wheelchairs and strollers are not good here.
The walls were so thin that I could hear the neighbors' phone calls and what they were watching on TV. They pounded on the wall every time my baby cried, which made for a really disagreeable night. Also, we heard toilets flush as if we were inside the bathroom.
The following day we left early and when we returned for a nap I let Ana know we were leaving. She said that she felt bad and that had I said something that morning, she would have moved me to a quieter room. I said that I wasn't willing to risk another bad night and that I felt bad for our neighbors, as I know baby crying is rough. That was when she changed her tune and said "well, that is your problem. No one complained to me about the baby. If you are not comfortable, that's on you."
No, actually, the unacceptably thin walls are your hotel's poor construction. Yes, though, they did become my problem.
I didn't ask for money back or anything, so I'm not sure why she went from being polite to telling me it was my fault, but it was rude and frustrating.
Had I been alone and following the Barcelona schedule of staying out late, I think it would have been fine, but this was totaling incompatible with my situation.
