“Very Pleased”

This apartment was great. Near the Metro and busses and still close enough where we could walk most places we wanted to go. Had some problems getting checked in, but that was because the computer systems were down. If I make it back to Barcelona I would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Great place to stay”

Just back from a long weekend stay in Barcelona. We opted for the Barcelona Suites rather than a hotel because we wanted the flexibility to relax in a home from home environment. Barcelona Suites delivered this and more. The only draw back is you must go to another location to collect the keys to gain entry to the apartment block. This was a little inconvenient. However when we arrived at the accommodation, our suite was on the top floor. We had a fantastic open plan comfortable living area / kitchen and separate bedroom. The sofa also folded out into a large double bed. The big bonus about being on the top floor was that we had access to our own terrace. We could have breakfast outside in the morning and relax with a glass of wine in the late evening when we arrived home after a bust day in the city. There is a medium size supermarket, market selling local produce & bakery all one street away. Also the metro is a 2 min walk from the accommodation. All in all Barcelona Suites is a great place to stay. We will definitely try and book here again for our next visit to Barcelona.

the apartments are situated close to a metro station, which makes them ideal for getting in and around the city. They are quiet at night, no clubs near by. Great base for exploring Barcelona.

“Good Location But Lacks Necessities”

The apartment is newly renovated with two large bathrooms and plenty of closet space. The biggest problem is that none of the simple necessities are provided . . . no telephone, no soap or toilet paper, no trash can in the bathrooms, no kitchen towels, no shampoo or clean towels. Front desk staff where we picked up our key said they would send someone to replace towels after the third day of our stay, but no one showed up. There is a great market directly across the street where you can buy fresh fish, fruit, vegetables and bread. Lots of other shops all around. Metro is a block away. We felt quite safe and had no problems, despite the fact that there is no front desk staff.

“Spacious well placed apartment, but a little tired”

Lovely spacious modern apartment although in need of a refresh. It had obviously not been used for a while and would have benefitted from a clean. The freezer was mouldy inside, i think it had been washed and then the door was closed before it had time to dry. Some of the fixtures and fitted were also broken and needed repair. The kitchen equiptment was very basic and could do with more cooking utensils, tea towels, oven gloves etc. The furniture was well used and could do with a clean. Overall it was a good apartment.

“Basic”

I chose the apartment as it was the cheapest way of accommodating my family of 5 in Barcelona. I have mixed feelings about this place? On the good side, the hotel let us in early which was appreciated, and the location is walking distance from most sights, and you get a 2 bedroom apartment for cheaper than a proper hotel. On the bad side, the apartment could have been better fitted out, no toaster, no soap, the sofa-bed uncomfortable (if you can find the hidy-hole for bed linen) the walls damaged, no tea & coffee starters, uncomfortable beds, etc. The fact that the apartment is 8 blocks from the reception adds unnecessary stress when you have loads of cases for the family as well. I thought maybe I was being too picky until we went to our next apartment in Torrevieja, which was immaculate, and what the owners should aspire to.
