Good choice, low cost, great locationPosted Oct 14, 2013
Cons: Noisy neighbors
We had a good experience. Great location for the right price. You have Las Ramblas a few blocks away. The same for La Barceloneta. Safe place to be up late at night.

Right in the centre of everything!Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Location! Lovely restaurant just between the hotel door and plaza saint jaume if you don't want to look far! But there's also plenty further afield!
Cons: It could do with a quick updating it just appeared a little shabby mainly in the hallway and the exterior of the building.
Location: Plenty of small shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Beach is 15 min walk away and las rambla a 5-10 min walk (don't eat on la rambla!)
We had a fantastic time in Barcelona due in part to the location of this room! We stayed in the middle of the old city and everything you need for a relaxing holiday was within walking distance! Toni was very nice and chatty on arrival though we did have to wait for her as we arrived around an hour earlier than our checkin time, however she got there very quickly after I phoned. She drew us a map of the typical tourist locations and told us lots of info about the area, and the room and where to avoid going at night which felt like she was trying to scare us sometimes - both helpful and worrying! The room was cleaned everyday and bedding and towels replaced and even pots washed!. I did expect the room to be bigger from the pictures but it was more or less square. Small bathroom but we managed to utilise it just fine. Also, just a warning, if you were expecting a balcony to sit out on like us you will be disappointed as the chairs in the room just don't quite fit - we were also advised not to use the roof terrace as this is where the cleaner hangs washing etc. so that's off limits too despite being advertised. The kitchen had all of the necessary equipment to cook a meal for two though we only really used the fridge and kettle! We grew to like to room for what it was and that's mainly just a bed for the night. It seemed very safe at all times.

Great LocationPosted Mar 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent location. Minutes away from La Rambla and the Port. Room was small but great for the price. Lots of stairs up to the room, but we got used to it after a day and we got the rooftop terrace all to ourselves which was great. A bit noisy, but nothing earplugs couldn't fix. The only complaint is that the bathroom door was glass, scraped on the floor when you opened it and not very private. That said owner was lovely and took the time out to give us tips and directions when we got there. Would definitely stay again.

I had a great time staying in this appartment. The location is perfect, In the gothic district, so walking distance to most sights and great for restaurants and bars.

an amazing weekendPosted Feb 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Basic yet fantastic room in a historically listed building located right in the middle of the barri gotic. Metro line, Las Ramblas and Sea within 5-10 min walking distance. Fantastic Bars and Restaurants on the same road serving great tapas including a delicious cake shop and a bakery during the day. Bars were busy and lively on weekends. Kitchen had stove and microwave which allowed us to make our own breakfast thanks to the supermarket a 2 minute walk away. Lady looking after the apartments was helpful and the room was cleaned every morning between 10-11am, clean towels supplied daily. Quiet area but no double glazing on windows meant you could hear as cars/bikes and people would walk by. Light sleepers may want earplugs. Loved it and hope to return next year!

This is an apartment with the true feel of Europe and Barcelona. By Americans standards it is not posh but that's not why I booked it, I wanted charm & personality and the true feel of being "IN" Barcelona. 64 steps up to the apartment (no elevator) but that was fine with me. Beautiful french doors open onto the shop filled narrow street below. Located in the Gothic area and close to the Las Ramblas and very convenient to stores, restaurants, museums, transportation and surrounded by european history. Fair warning though, don't bring a big suicase, this is for the light traveler. The Lady will meet you with the key and then you're on your own. This is an apartment not a hotel, no concierge.

Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: 5th floor-no lift. Not the end of the world, keeps me fit!
For the price the studio was fantastic, great location and really clean. I'd definitely recommend!

Stay here for a truly authentic feel of Barcelona!Posted May 28, 2012
Pros: One of the rare listed buildings in the Gothic quarter.
Location: In the heart of the "old town"!
Fantasic place to stay if you want the real Barcelona feel to your trip. Set in the heart of the old gothic area of the town this truly is authentic Barcelona! On the small side but absolutely perfect for us as it was a base to sleep in. Bit on the noisy side as near a few restuarants and bars but fine for us as we were in them most of the time! I would defintately come back to this hotel when I go to Barcelona again. Just 2 mins walk to the Marina and 5 mins walk to the centre of the city, you couldn't be more centrally located.

we booked this place on price and location. its a building with 5 rooms, one per floor. clean but not perfect. great location. If you travel with large or heavy luggage the steps up to the rooms might be difficult. after you book they send an email asking what time you arrive. respond to this! is it a 4-star? well maybe 3.... but we liked it and would stay there again.
