great location for our needsPosted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: it felt like our own little apartment for the week.
Cons: wifi signal, a little tlc to freshen up minor wear and tear to the rooms from so many guests.
Location: loads of restaurants on the strip to sagrada familia. beautifull buildings in the hospital grounds. metro very close
A few minutes walk from the nearest metro, walking distance from sagrada familia. We even walked from camp nou to avoid the post match crowds, although I wouldn't recommend that one! Staff were friendly and about half had good english, the rest we managed to communicate with okay. internet wifi was not always the strongest signal and a few of the cards with the password were wrong, the one taped on the reception desk worked. the perks, great basic accommodation with fridge, small hobs and tea pot, private bathroom, air con and shutters. 24 hour reception, house keeping every day. lots of restaurants and food shops nearby. we had no trouble walking the streets at night, they were full of people walking dogs and enjoying dinner. The downsides were the tv reception was terrible so we didn't watch any, the boiler leaked on the last night but the member of staff on night reception was very helpful and apologetic. no sharp knives when we were preparing food Glad I read reviews on here as I knew the hotel was called everest on the front wall and to expect a small flight of stairs to get to the lift If you want a new fancy place to stay keep looking. If you are on a budget but want to be central and love the charm of staying in what I imagine is a proper modest barcelona apartment that reflects local life then its just fine. hostels I had looked at mostly had shared bathrooms/dorms so it was nice to have privacy.

Great place. Nice locationPosted Jul 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice and good sized room. Great set up with kitchen and dining area. Great location. Metro is a 5 minute walk away, Sagrada familia was about a 15 minute walk away. Many markets near with very nice fresh and cheap fruit and other stores with food you can take home and cook.

This apartment was great! Very close to the Sagrada Familia and lots of restaurant options! It had 2 elevators. They cleaned daily and were all very nice!

Need new stovePosted May 25, 2013
Cons: For the name of apartment, replace a new stove and a toster.
It is ok to sleep here but cooking. The electric stove was not working well, it take almost 30 min to have a pot of water boiled and have limited cooking-ware.

Location is great but...Posted Mar 5, 2013
Cons: Shower and noise
Location: Good for short stays better than las Ramblas for sure
Ambulances make noise all night so don't expect to sleep much. Location is close to sagrada familia and metro. Great neighborhood the only downfall is that it's next to the hospital and also the shower is tiny without hot water.

Great Location!Posted Jul 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was a last minute reservation and our expectations were low. To our surprise the place was great! Our room/apartment for 4 had great bed, little kitchen, nice barroom. Concierge: Adorable! Location: PERFECT!! Few blocks from Gaudi's Basilica de la Sagrada Familia. Very close to the Ramblas (pedestrian areas with coffee tables to enjoy food/coffee). Few blocks from the Metro station. Taxi is affordable! Great place for a fair price.

Best place for travelling studentsPosted Jul 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
All of the staff are extremely nice and accommodating dispite not have large grasps of the english language. The apartment was easy to access and had a good sense of privacy, giving you the feeling of truly living within Barcelona. It is right next to Hospital Sau Pau (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and a 5-10 min lovely walk down several promenades flourished with an array or bars and eateries down towards Sagrada Familia. Students! Stay here!
Nice PlacePosted May 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
The real name is "HOTEL EVEREST". One negative, the Elevator is on the mezzanine. Everything else is wonderful. Taxi Stand and Bus Stops are just outside the hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean, helpful staff. Thru the Pomenade which is 1/2 block away that leads to Sagrada Familia with good restaurants along the way and friendly people everywhere. Felt safe walking around and staying for a drink or read a book at the promenade even at 2 am. Try the Paellas from different restaurants!!!!
