“Not impressed”

The elevator were to small for luggage. Only one computer was working. The attended was very rude. Bad services. I will not recommend this hotel. I would stay in downtown. They don't run the shuttle in early in the morning to the airport. They don't run the air condition in the fall.

I will recommend them Granados 83 Hotel. The hotel was easy to travel around the city. They have very good customer services.

“not impressed”

First of all our room air conditioner was not working. Instead of changing our room they gave us a fan, and said they were sorry. Other guests that stayed there who spoke spanish got dinner with thier room since we were to far away from a resturant to get dinner. The bed was so hard that we barely slept. The one saving grace was a free airport shuttle.

“Barcelona, Spain Hotel”

Can be noisey. No food service in rooms. Restaurant hours not good, too late. The hosts were not very friendly. This is a quick hotel for airport connections. Not luxury at all.

“Ok, nothing special”

We booked this hotel because we were staying one night in barcelona and wanted something close to the airport. It is about a 10 minute drive to the airport. We booked 2 rooms. Decor is very modern. Our air conditioner worked great, but our kids room did not work. The walls are very thin, you will hear everything. There is a place to eat in the hotel but the prices are really high. We decided to order room service because we were only wanting a sandwich instead of a dinner. We ordered one ham and cheese sandwich and one turkey sandwich. We laughed really hard when it came! No kidding, there was only one paper thin piece of turkey and ham on a peice of white bread. They cost us 7 euros a piece. You are kind of at their mercy because there are no places in the area to eat. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial park. They do offer a free shuttle service to the airport but be aware it's first trip out is 5 am. We had a early flight out so we hired a taxi to pick us up, since we wanted to leave at 4:15am. Overall it wasn't horrible but not great either. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room clean.

“Alpha Best Review”

This is a really nice hotel, located just off the beaten path in a commercial area. Only a 20 minutes bus ride from the main tourist area in Barcelona. The bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Restaurant service and food are both good. Rooms are clean and maid service is good. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you need a location just fifteen minutes by curtesy bus form the airport.

See Las Rhomblas and the port areas for interesting historic buildings, restaurants and a general view of the historic city of Barcelona.

Getting around

On/off tour busses are the best and least expensive way to get an overview of this city.

“Nowhere near BCN”

This is listed as an airport hotel because it is near an obsolete airport...NOT BCN! If you stay here you will save money but you will spend a fortune on cabs. Public transport is not friendly in this area of town as it is primarily industrial. I did not care about the setting as I was just going to the Airport the next day. The hotel is ok...climate control is nonexistent. The airport shuttle doesnt start early enough. This is not the place to stay if you plan to spend time in Barcelona. It is also not the place to stay if your using it as an airport jump site. Overall it has no reason to exist. This is more like a fancy Motel 6, not a Best Western. It could have been worse but it could have been better.

“Loved the hotel.”

This hotel is very nice and clean. They have free internet and free service from the airport. The only problem there is nothing nearby, however, you can hop on a bus outside of the hotel that will take you into Barcelona.

The on and off bus in Barcelona is a very good way to see the city.

“It served out purpose nicely, a one night stay on our way to a cruise.”

Hotel is very clean, and adequate in all its services. Nice shuttle service from the airport. It isnext to a bus line that goes right downtown to La Rambla. It is in the Industrial part of town and there are NO restaruants nearby, but the breakfast at the hotel is nice and we just ate lunch and dinner out... would not recommend this hotel for a long stay in Barcelona but it was perfect for what we needed.

Area recommendations

The La Rambla area is much closer to all the "sites" of this fabulous city with lots of shops and fabulous restaurants.

“Awesome visit”

If your stay is short and you want to be close to airport , it's great with shuttle service. You can easily take the bus in front of the hotel to go to the Port for Cruises.....cheaper and more fun than taxi ($ 30 E). Overall, very good experience.
