“Gem of a Hotel!”

Read lots of great reviews on CCB and they are all accurate. We did not book a suite and really did not use the "lounge" with the hammock though it was nice to have. Too much to do in Barcelona to hang out in a hotel room. The very friendly and accommodating staff are the real gems. They noticed I took a cushion to use from the lounge and they immediately gave us extra pillows without me asking. The all day cafe is great if you want constant food so good for families with young children and teenagers but you want to experience Barcelona's amazing food culture. Hotel is literally 5 minutes from the Bouquira Market. If budget allows DO experience the dos palillos restaurant (and have hotel book for you as it was always busy), worth every euro and good value compared to London. Breakfasts are cooked to perfection, nice to be able to make fresh tea, coffee and take to your room. Love the hotel rooms with all the pegs on the walls to hang up clothes, big showers, environmentally conscious standards. Would stay there again for sure and highly recommended!

“great location and hotel”

hotel is conveniently located. it is near the old quarter and almost on the rambla. we found the rambla to be a bit like times squre and tired of it after a day, but the hotel is off the rambla so even tho you have to walk thru it to go anywhere, you are not riight on it in the hotel. the hotel is very clean, well-staffed, has a great breakfast and open mini bar in the lobby with endless coffee, snacks, yogurt, etc. the staff is ver helpful and cheery. the extra room is a bit spare and we didn't use it that much even tho' our room was a bit small. the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms lovely. the rooms are very well designed in terms of space usage, privacy in bathroom. all in all a really good place to stay

“Better than expected”

Hotel in great location, short walk to Metro and Ramblas.,staff were extremely helpful and spoke English, food snacks were available all day. One minor inconvenience was with our suite. The sitting area was across the hall. Highly recommend otherwise.

Unusual,quirky hotel ,just off Las Ramblas.Excellent staff,most helpful.Great standard of comfort and cleanliness.Snack food available all day(free).No bar or restaurant but breakfast included.Altogether a most enjoyable and pleasant stay.

“Excellent Hotel”

Excellent hotel, almost flawless, highly recommended. But avoid the "Dos Palillos" restaurant in the same building, very expensive Asian fusion cuisine that was a huge disappointment (perhaps because both of us have spent many years in various parts of Asia and know the taste).

“We wish there were more hotels like this one around the world”

A brilliant concept for a hotel. Having read all the positive reviews before booking we wondered if we would be disappointed. We werent. We had a suite which I would really recommend because you do get more space than in other rooms. The staff were so friendly and couldnt do enough for their guests. The 24 hour snack service was great and we saved lots of money on lunches as we had a late lunch when we went back to the hotel. We had dinner at restaurants recommended in a free guide we found in the hotel and everyone was great - just a little bit off the main tourist trail. The roof terrace was a sun trap and we enjoyed late afternoon sunbathing up there too. It was in easy walking distance of the Ramblas - but watch out for the skateboards - you could get knocked down in the rush!

Personable, professional and attentive staff, great central location, wonderful breakfast (included) and chic vibe combined for a great stay in Barcelona.
