The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The staff was helpful, the room was reasonably large for Europe, and quiet with comfortable beds. The Murphy bunk beds were fun for the kids and helped save space. The Catalonia brand hotels, at least the two I stayed at, are fairly similar, so you know what to expect if you've stayed at one before. It was a good value and it was close to the metro. My only complaint is that the breakfast was quite expensive and they didn't serve food after 11pm, which was a little bit of a disappointment after arriving late at night. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a nice clean room with close parking and easy to walk everywhere. Subway was also right outside the hotel. Staff was very friendly and great with my dog. I lived coming to the room and having a dog bed and dishes. A great touch!!

The location is terrific for public transportation and la Rambla. It's a safe neighborhood and our room was quiet. The staff were particularly helpful and accommodating.

Negatives: Air conditioning not working very well. Reported but nothing changed, but manageable. Positives: Location. Right by the train station and minutes away from some main attractions (La Rambla area). You can get better value for your money elsewhere. Just book early.

Super overall. Clean simple place, superb staff. Only thing didnt like was the weed smell in the hallways 2nd floor, not sure if its legal, but it stunk a couple of times due to some dooshbag smoking it. But great place same block of the diagonal metro station. Id stay here again.

I will never stay with them again. Worse than the below details are their unacceptable customer service afterwards. Here a summary of my experience: + The plumbing goes directly through the room. Every single time someone takes a shower or goes to the toilet, the water pipe makes loud noises next to the bed + Construction started EVERY MORNING at 8am RIGHT OUTSIDE the window of my room with hammer and electric machinery + The room was right next to the main street and on the first floor which means I could hear every single car drive by all day and all night because the walls and windows have very low sound protection + The door of the neighboring room was broken, so every time the neighboring guest would leave the room or come back, it would make extraordinary loud cracking noises  I sleep in hotels usually 100 days per year over the last ten years and never ever have I experienced a room like this.

My room on the first floor was very noisy. I heard water flowing on the pipe throughout the night. There was also some noise from the traffic on the street. The location is indeed very good, less than 30 seconds from the subway station.

Hotel is good, service is GREAT!
Hotel is located relatively close to major attractions especially the l’eixample And modernista attractions. Local nightlife is a bit lackluster but was acceptable for a family trip. Hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make the visit enjoyable. The rooms are well kept but could have more comfortable beds. You will enjoy your stay!

Room temperature was way too hot. Cooling system did very little to reduce the temperature. Had to open the windows to lower the temperature. Which allowed the smell of cigarette smoke from the open courtyard below and at least one other room that smoked at there open window to linger into the room.

Good location, next door to the metro and close to some nice bars and restaurants. Very pleasant staff who tried their best to help. My complaints. Mess up on check in and told that the hotel was overbooked. This was finally resolved, but still not acceptable. Rooms had no air conditioning in the winter and ones on the upper floors were stiflingly hot. Staff’s response - open the window. My room looked inwards to a closed courtyard - no daylight or any idea of what the outside weather was like.

Few blocks away from Carrer Gran de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya... two mayor wide an open streets with shopping and restaurants and cafes which take you both to Plaza Catalunya.

A great location, very central to everything
Location perfect for a city break. Hotel clean, staff very friendly & very helpful. Definitely ideal with children. Rooms are nice maybe a bit on the small size but good none the less. No tea or coffee facilities in the room & breakfast can be found much cheaper with the variety of cafes outside. Cannot really class pool as a swimming pool. Very small, Would definitely recommend as a good hotel for a short stay.

The reception staff were very nice and willing to help. The hotel is about 20mins straight walk to plaza Catalonia and has some nice restaurants close by (petit Bangkok, mussol, appreando). Didn’t have the breakfast as it was €17 per person; went to a nearby restaurant and had lovely breakfast for €26 (total price for a group of 3!!!). The only downside is the room doesn’t have coffee or tea making facilities and the room got too warm at times. Overall a lovely hotel.

Nice, clean, friendly hotel in a great neighbourhood. The heating, unfortunately, was on overdrive. We could not turn it down and the room was unbearably hot so not much sleep. I am sure the hotel fixed it the next day but we were flying that morning so can’t confirm. We would stay there again.
