This is a trendy boutique hotel not far from the University District in Barcelona. At check-in, the staff didn't seem very friendly, but everyone else we dealt with after that was very nice. The decor is very trendy. The rooms made good use of somewhat limited space, and seemed to have been recently renovated. Seemingly good food options right in the hotel, but we didn't eat there. A Metro stop is about 2-3 blocks away. One word of warning: Don't stay here for the view! It's a very small, low-slung hotel, and our window merely gave us a view of another building across an alley.
Overall, we were quite pleased and would stay here again.

The hotel staff made us very welcome on a cold and wet weekend in Barcelona. The hotel is in a quiet location and we were easily able to visit everywhere by foot or on the metro. There was a huge selection at breakfast and on the one evening we ate in the hotel, our dinner was more than acceptable.

We loved the location of our hotel. It was part of a beautiful neighborhood with winding cobblestone streets lined with wonderful restaurants and shops. The hotel is a small boutique hotel with attentive staff and spacious clean, modern rooms. We upgraded to a room with a very small balcony, overlooking the street. We could hear We patrons at Elsa y Fred's, a lovely small gastropub across the street. We loved it so much that we ended each evening with a cocktail before turning in. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and provided maps, directions and suggestions for anything needed. With so many interesting restaurants and sites to see, we did not eat at the hotel restaurant and we did not stay at the rooftop pool. We went to the rooftop to check out the view. There wasn't much to see from the roof but we weren't disappointed. There was so much beautiful architecture to see just from wandering through the neighborhood.

The first room they gave us was horribly depressing but the second room was very nice and sunny. I think the hotel possibly has quite a few "standard" rooms that face an air shaft. Otherwise it was lovely except for the lack of any drawers for underwear or anything else. The TV had good English speaking channels.

This is an excellent hotel and well located to public transport and a short 10-15mins ride by taxi from the airport. The hotel itself is large and we were luckily enough to get a beautiful window view of the Montjuic. I would highly recommend the hotel's restaurant especially going for their Menu del dia which for gave you a generous 3 course meal with a bottle of wine & a bottle of mineral water included. I fully recommended the fresh seafood on offer. The only slight downside is the terrace pool which is open at night but hardly any lighting and no heating.
