Regarding the rooms, we do want to clarify that although some of our rooms have kitchenettes, they are disconnected and not meant to be used by guests, which is why we do not provide cooking utensils. Prior to becoming a hotel, the building used to rent out small apartments with functioning kitchenettes. The process of completely taking all the kitchenettes out is lengthy. So, in the meantime, we have opted for disconnecting them to discourage their use since it would be a safety hazard to cook in the current hotel rooms. Regardless, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness and location of our establishment. However, we do want to clarify that the kitchenettes are not actually functional, which is why they are disconnected and we do not provide cooking utensils. Before becoming a hotel, the building used to be rented out in small apartments with functioning kitchenettes. We are in the process of taking them out of our current hotel rooms but this is a long and slow process. We are sorry to hear that it was noisy during part of your stay. Legally, any activities with high noise levels (the exact decibels depend on the day of the week and time frame) must cease or at least lower their decibels after 22:00. We do encourage guests to contact our front desk for any issues they experience during their stay. We apologize if the noise you experienced disturbed your rest in any way. However, given that selling food and beverages is not this business' main activity, the size of the dinign area has been allocated accordingly. The hotel is located one block away from Las Ramblas, in a very quiet pedestrian passage. Raval and Gothic Quarter do have some streets that are not too reassuring to walk by at night. The kind of individuals that sometimes roam through these two neighbourhoods are out of the hotel's control. We do have direct contact with the police (the closest police station is 500 meters away) and we also have a security system with external cameras. In case of an alteraction arising, our team knows what steps to follow and the need to alert the adequate authorities to resolve any distubance as swiftly as possible.We hope that you had a pleasant stay regardless and apologize for any discomfort you might have felt.
