Perfect location.Posted May 3, 2013
Location: The hotel is very well situated.
The room and bathroom were very clean. Unfortunately the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no daylight.

Great location at a great pricePosted Apr 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was friendly and the room was spotless. Our room overlooked a nice courtyard and the nights were quiet and peaceful. The only setback was two single beds when we wanted a double bed. Overall, We were very happy with our choice to stay there and would recommend it to others.

charmless but adequate, good locationPosted Aug 25, 2012
Pros: excellent locale and close to sights and transport nodes
Cons: staff was not very helpful, space is plain adequate
I imagine that for the price and location (WHICH WAS AMAZINGLY CLOSE TO ALL THE IMPORTANT STUFF and transportation) and knowing that Barcelona accommodations are notoriously pricey, it wasn't after-all altogether bad. However if all you want is a "space" to drop your stuff and an adequate bed to sleep on and the tiniest bathroom space with a very cramped shower stall, then you won't mind. Do not recommend a late night arrival as night staff seemed quite befuddled and hardly knowledgeable and did not inspire confidence. It is basically an apartment building with one or two floors of hotel rooms. Key to the street door, the "apartment floor door" and a key for your room. I would describe the stay as adequate and I was thankful it was only for two nights. Rather sadly plain and boxy spartan accommodation with a wardrobe closet, a desk and night table. The window looks out to a 6x6 airshaft and back of building next door. But again, the location cannot be beat. CAVEAT! Wifi service was very sporadic which further depressed and frustrated my time there.

Hotel Ciudad Condal BarcelonaPosted Jul 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
Hotel with a reasonable quality/price ratio. The main advantages I think are the price and the location close by passeig de gracia with the metro and at 15 minutes walking to plaça da Catalunya. The staff was nice and very kind. The main drawbacks are the breakfast not included, my room was pretty small and the wireless is not free of charges.

Great location & Value for moneyPosted Jun 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
This little hostel is located at a quite and safe street, right next door to Hermes so you know you won't be hasseled by the Las Ramblas crowd that you would otherwise get. The price was indeed fantastic. The rooms are modest but you have everything you need. The only drawback is that the sound-proofing of the room is pretty bad. Walls are thin and the wooden floor makes this 'quack quack' noise whenever someone walks by. Other than this is this a gem that I would recommend to everyone.

Barca's BestPosted Mar 25, 2011
As I told the manager when leaving, I will recommend this hotel to my traveling friends and will definitely return. It is that simple. The location, right in the heart of the city is perfect. Close to the metro and walking distance to Sagrada Familia and many, many great eating and drinking spots. The building is immaculate. It is also extremely quiet. The only quirk was that the rooms were warm...I rather cooler settings for sleeping. But, the rooms themselves were well kept up, and functional. And the price...for where my sons and I were and wanted to go, was incredibly affordable. I love this place!
