“Really good for the money”

Hotel well placed to visit the city centre and Port Olympic. Beach within 5 minutes walk and metro within 10 minutes walk. Metro every 5 minutes no problem with getting to and from city. City centre 40 minutes walk away. Don't be put off by the run down appearance of the area between the metro and the hotel.If you turn right immediatly on leaving the hotal you will find a nice Rambla with street cafes and restaurants which is a nice alternative for breakfast.Cannot fault condition of hotel rooms clean tidy and very quiet.Free Mini bar always replenished and adequately stocked with beer and soft drinks.We didn't take any meals in the hotel but the restaurant was always busy. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful and friendly.Small swimming pool on roof hardly used and great for an evening dip. (open to around 2200 hours)Would definately recommend this hotel.

“Great hotel, not very central though...”

This hotel was very modern, clean, grrrreat free breakfast, free mini bar that's replenished daily, free internet with 4 computers!, and very nice clean rooms. The only downside was it was hard to get there but we finally discovered a metro 2 blocks down and 2 blocks to the left.. so make sure you contact the hotel before to ask the fastest way (exact metro stops) if youre taking a metro. Their customer service was great for a non-US hotel!

“Great New Hotel is a friendly neighborhood that is becomign the Tech/Finance center”

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. Although if you follow their directions to the hotel, you go thru a lot of construction, the next metro stop is an extra block walk, but the walk is along a lovely Rambla with terrific restaurants and shops. It's a short walk to the beach, an easy metro ride to downtown and just a great neighborhood to be in. I stay in hotels 100 nights a year and this is my favorite for the last few years.

“Hotel Confrontel”

Hotel Confrontel is a fantastic modern hotel, with an outstanding interior and a pool on the roof. It is very close to the beach, shops and the metro making it easy to do activities and get about. The staff in the hotel spoke english, were pleasent and happy to help with anything. We stayed here for two weeks and really enjoyed it. We will definately be back again!

“Great value for money”

I loved this hotel. I had a double room with a king-sized bed, air conditioning, a safe and a big bathroom. We paid for room only and had breakfast separately (15€) which saved us quite a lot of money. The hotel is about 10mins walk from Llanaca metro station and the beach north of Bogatell in a quieter and less touristy part of town, but there are bars and cafes nearby, at the end of Carrer Ramon Turro. The staff all spoke English and were really friendly and helpful. The only down side was the two taxi drivers who didn't know where the hotel was - you'll need the exact address for their sat-navs if you plan to use a taxi!

“Great hotel”

This hotel was amazing for the money we paid. I was a little concerned from other reviews that it was a bit out of the way of the main area of Barcelona, however it only took 15 mins to travel in. The area the hotel is in lovely and suburban. Really nice restaurants too, and far less touristy than those in the Barri Gotic for example. The hotel itself was super clean, with a huge comfy bed. Lovely staff and very, very clean. Great roof terrace with pool too. Definitely would recommend.

“Modern styled hotel”

This is a brand new hotel, and only opened in March 2008. It is with walking distance of the centre of Barcelona & the beach, but if your feeling lazy, the metro is only 5mins walk. I can't fault the hotel on its staff. English speaking, friendly, efficient, and someone always on reception (and I was getting back to the hotel at 4 in the morning!!). Clean & very trendy, ultra modern in design. And a free mini bar (mostly water & fruit juices but some beer also). Now the minor problems... Being english, I love a cup of tea, but there were no tea making facilities in the room. Also because of its cubist design, there was a lack of carpets, which left the rooms feeling a little clinical. The area is developing (like much of barcelona) so expect building work. Not that I heard anything in the room :) The breakfast wasn't great quality for the money they charged, but there was a wide selection, so you will find something to eat!) Overall a great hotel that oozes style & cleanliness, but if you can't live without your creature comforts, you may prefer an older hotel.

“Hotel located in bad area”

Hotel located in bad area and too far from the turist places. clean and comfort room, the only complaint is that not drinking water was provided in a daily basis. overall was good.
