Near magic fountain easy walk open top bus routePosted Jul 20, 2014
Stayed on 5th floor executive room with two double beds for 3 nights in July . Very comfortable room and spacious bathroom with walk in shower. Super quiet rest each night. Breakfast excellent with copious amounts of coffee tea etc staff very friendly in all areas of hotel. Taxis always outside. Airport bus is 6 euros to espagna plaza short walk away from hotel about 9 mins with suitcases I would think and Metro and service buses frequent from there. Magic fountain is well worth seeing from 9-11pm July check for times. Club facilities good if paid extra for. Business facility good. National museum and Miro foundation on top of hill behind hotel. We used open top bus tour from across road from magic fountain which lets you hop on and off at main sights cost 70 euros for two each day for two days but views and fresh air were well worth it. Barcelona has everything nightlife beach marina art and architecture but you need at least 4 days to see it all. Book sagrada familia online for timed entry.

Brillant stay good locationPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, large rooms , very clean , free wifi .huge HD TV
Cons: Spa and gym to be in the Hotel rather than round the corner ..a swimming pool would have been fab .
Location: Quiet ,great cafés and bakery across the road for breakfast ..the Olympic arena and the fountains were in a 5minute walk and hop on hop off bus stop
I was travelling with my 2sons and we were upgraded so we had a bed each ..the staff couldn't have been more helpful with restaurant recommendations to telling the taxi drivers where we wanted to go .they were cheerful all the time . The room makes were delightful and the rooms were beautifully cleaned every day . Not much of a view but we didn't spend that much time in the hotel to matter . The bathroom toiletries were lovely and replaced every day .the TV was awesome .

Very EnjoyablePosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Cllean, friendly people at the reception desk who will help you anytime you need something
Cons: Wish they had a Airport shuttle
Location: We loved it as its quiet and a little off the path but near great transportion to anywhere you want to go.
The location is wonderful just a few blocks from the train or bus, very clean and the room was quite large. The restaurant is very over priced but the food and choices are very good. The lady who manages the restaurant didn't charge me for breakfast when all I wanted was a coffee and cold cereal I thought that was very nice as my wife had the buffet breakfast.I would definitely comeback on my next vacation to wonderful Barcelona

Good location for MontjuicPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Nice area. Close to good restaurants.
Cons: If only reception could keep extra supplies for the tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, they were so unhelpful.
Location: We found some lovely restaurants on the Place d'Espana at the top of the Arena building, formerly the bullring, with fabulous views over to Montjuic.
Fairly nice hotel, but a little impersonal. The room was ok, and spotless when we arrived, but the bathroom was not cleaned during our stay and the tea, coffee and milk were not replenished. I did ask at reception for more coffee and milk(albeit late at night), but was directed to the bar, wherein the barman had a heated conversation in Spanish with the receptionist over who should be supplying these and tried to charge me 2 euros for 2 sachets of coffee for the room! Apparently it should have been dealt with by housekeeping but they were not available. I never did get my supplies!! The room was very quiet, despite being one the first floor above a main road, but was also quite dark due to lack of sunlight. The hotel itself is in a nice area very close to Montjuic and the MNAC museum, and the Font Magica.
