The accommodation is located in a great shopping area and is in a very distinctive building. The facade is modern and is easily identifiable amongst the busy street. The condition of building is excellent and the 2 bedroom apartment i had booked was awesome. Very trendy, great finishes and facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Hotel Aria (formerly a palace) - Barcelona for 6 nights October 2014. It was a perfect choice. The lobby was elegant and beautiful, the rooftop pool was a perfect retreat after days of walking through Barcelona. And the room - fantastic!
We walked for 6 days all over Barcelona - Gaudi house (Casa Batllo), Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, Beach, Marina, and night club - 'Opium' on beach (cab to here). Wonderful city - colorful, playful. and fun.
Great restaurants - stay away from Tapas right on La Rambla, go to side streets for better quality food. But market off La Rambla is EXCELLENT, sit at counter and eat all freshly prepared seafood, etc.

Situated away from the hustle and bustle of central Barcelona but within walking distance of fantastic beach (10 mins) and centre (25 mins). Interesting local area felt safe and streets clean with café's and shops. Good Lidl supermarket on way to town. Appartment brilliant, very clean and very helpful staff. Rooftop pool nice area to spend time relaxing. Would definitely go back to Barcelona and stay at these apartments.

The ground floor apartments were better than I expected and spacious. I initially asked for two rooms and was given 2 one bedroom apartments. My eighteen year old son was very happy as he had one apartment all to himself but this would not have been suitable if I had 2 younger children that needed supervision. It was modern, clean and the amenities were great. The check in was at another location and a bit of a pain after my journey although the gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Then the front door was difficult to open and there was no-one to help. This is the place for you if you have a young baby or family and you need to have kitchen facilities. There is no kettle but you can warm up water in a saucepan for tea or baby formula. The patio/garden was secure and child friendly but overlooked by other flats. There is a pizza restaurant next door and small grocery shop at the bottom of the road. I would recommend that you get a taxi from the airport to the apartment as the transfer did not turn up and wasted time trying to get in touch with the reception. It costs approx. 60 euro's by taxi to the apartment as the check in is at the other location but I paid 40 euro's to the airport when I left. I loved the apartment but would prefer to be closer to the beach next time.

We arrived early and the staff took our baggage for us, oriented us to the city, and had our room all set up with our things already there when we returned. We felt comfortable and well cared for. The location in the Eixample felt comfortable and safe although a bit far from the Gothic and Born neighborhoods where we spent much of our time. Although far in Barcelona means a half hour for 45 minute walk! Breakfast, although extra, was as great deal, lots of fresh fruit, local cheeses and hams, etc.

Great location near Diagonal metro station, which means direct lines to la Sagrada Família, and the Gothic quarter, plus Eixample is the best part of Barcelona. Hotel is very nice, great staff. Only downside is rooms are pretty small.

We had a three night stay in Barcelona and wanted a hotel that was truly central and of a good enough standard that the experience wasn't spoiled by the usual city-hotel thoughts of 'it's a bit small/tatty/unfriendly'. Fortunately, none of these were true of the Bagues. We had a deluxe room with a wrap-around balcony that, so far as we could tell, was probably the best one to get. It was great to be able to stand there with a (complimentary) glass of wine and watch the crowds on La Rambla. Yet with the windows closed the sound insulation was total. It's a small hotel but very well designed around the space they have and generally just feels like a nice place to come back to after a hard day's sightseeing. Okay, it's probably not the cheapest hotel, but we didn't come away feeling short-changed. We would definitely stay here again.
