perfectly situated hotelPosted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: The staff on checking in gave us a map, wifi code and information that was useful to us without havng to ask .
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the beginning of October. Our room was great ! extremly comfortable beds and exceptionaly clean. I liked staying here so much that i would definately stay here again. The room is quirky which added fun to our stay. Make sure you are definately comfortable in a relationship with your partner. We used the hotel as a base to go off and do touristy things, we were in and out all day. The lift for the hotel is at ground level and reception is on the first floor, so you bypass reception when coming in late at night and your not being spyed on by recpetion staff. The tourist bus is right outside the hotel. Good area , it has some lovely shops when walking to the centre, on the way to the Ramblas, a few good chioces of restaurants around you. The Citrus, good tapas and late night coffee / bars, Gaudi building a few doors away x The staff were brilliant, breakfast was limited but still had a variey of basic breakfast goodies was adequate enough for me. We were on the third floor and heard no niose at all as we over looked the passag de gracia, which is busy , also had black out curtains. Not a 5 star but more of a 4. Check in and out was effortless, very professional, made us feel welcome from the word go and appeared genuine. Over all experience was enjoyable x

Good quality hotel close to centre of BarcelonaPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Location, modern facilities.
Cons: Disappointed about single issue (shower not working) and hotel response.
The hotel is located close to the centre of Barcelona and easily reachable by taking the airport bus and walking a couple of blocks on arrival (once you have got your bearings!). I felt welcomed at reception and a personal effort was taking to make me aware of some key items of interest (facilities, breakfast, accessing the hotel, gym, etc). The bedroom was modern and both clean and comfortable. It had an in room safe that could easily fit an i-pad and other valuables. The bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were modern. My only niggle was that in the morning, I could not get the shower to work (I think the dial to operate it was broken) and on check-out (I stayed one night) the staff member I spoke to did not seem to register this as a significant issue that would affect a guests comfort and experience. This aside, the hotel is modern, it has a variety of facilities and its location is good. I would still recommend it.

Wonderful hotel in BarcelonaPosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: super comfortable beds, quiet and spacious rooms, very convenient location.
Cons: a few towels we used during our stay were past their heyday.
Location: Step out the front door and have fun.
Great location in midst of boutique and luxury shopping, one block away from metro, lots of great restaurants nearby. About 10 minute metro ride to Barcelona beaches. The room was spacious, we were upgraded to a larger room with balcony probably because of our 6 night stay. Service was extremely good, and when we needed attention, staff would tend to it immediately. I definitely will stay at this hotel the next time I go to Barcelona.

Great location. Not for families with children thoPosted Jun 14, 2013
Cons: the bathroom
Location: In the heart of Paseig de gracia. Just a 10 minute walk to Plaza de Catalunya. Ideal location.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. The room we got was pretty spacious for two people. however the bathroom is not practical at all.

Great location and good hotel :)Posted Jun 4, 2013
Cons: Slow Internet
Location: Close to everything!
Excellent hotel with great location. The internet is a bit slow at times, and there was a balcony in our room but we could not access it (open the door) to go out. Other than that the hotel is very well kept, the staff exceptionally helpful and cheerful and overall my stay there was amazing! Oh hte beds are big and comfy :) I would stay there again.

Great location right in the heart of the city. Only one block from the Gaudi design building, Casa Batllo. Yards from Las Ramblas, and if you are into shopping, it is on the main street Paseo De Gracia lots n lots of stores. You need to press the bell to get in so very safe if you are concerned. Even though I was on the first floor facing the street, when the doors are closed you can't hear the traffic.

Location is top category for this hotel. Right within walking distance of everything you will want to see. Friendly front desk staff. Room was a little worn out and sporadic strange plumbing type noises - staff took note. Standard room on top floor was adequate but bit overpriced.

Design gone badPosted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
I love design. When it is functional. By working I mean when it's practical and working. In this case it's not. We stayed at room 213 later told to be a big room. It's not. The bed headlamp was broken and hang loose by the cable. The sitting area had no light so no place to read. The room was humid and aircon didn't work. The reception did nothing to help when we called. Only heat is working they told us. We stayed in May. The shower is in the room itself (cause of humidity?) and no air condition didn't help. The shower leaked water on to the floor and the equipment (shelves etc. ) inside the shower was broken. We came late and wanted a evening meal. Ordered a club sandwich and burger. Both cold, destroyed and uneatable. They didn't charge us for the meal and we found a very nice restaurant close by. But still... Not a 5 star experience, but a 5 star neighbourhood! We are in BCN every month but will opt for a different hotel next time.

Nice location and friendly staff.Posted Apr 14, 2013
We found the hotel location ideal for exploring Barcelona as the Batillo and Mila Houses designed by Gaudi are almost next door, the Ancient Egypt Musuem is just around the corner and the Hop on hop off bus tour passes by also. On arrival we were rather disappointed by our room which had no bath, no air conditioning ,a leaky shower(the door didn't close properly) and a safe which did not lock! However we asked at reception for another room and although the hotel was full that evening, they managed to arrange a much superior one first thing the following morning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
