“Absolutely very convenient for a quiet city break”

If what you are looking for is a city break well priced and away from the party busy area of Las Ramblas. I do recommend to stay at this hotel. Near Passeig de Gracia and underground station, much closer to the real local catalan atmosphere. The hotel is well priced and if you ask for an interior room is very quiet. Beds and pillows are not very comfortable but if you are only going to staty for 2-3 nights are quite reasonable.

“Excellent Hotel and Location”

We were very impressed with the hotel and staff. The location was great, with the metro only a couple blocks away (Provenca/Diagnol station) and easy to use. It is an easy and enjoyable 20 minute walk to Las Ramblas, as well as many other area attractions. The cruise ship port is only a 10 minute cab ride (about 20 Euro) and the airport about 20 minutes by cab. The room and bathroom were both well appointed and clean, but the beds a bit hard. There was free wired internet in the room which worked perfecly with the laptop. There is a fee for wifi. We did not eat in the hotel, but there is a great little grocery store directly across the road where we bought a few things. THere is a little bar fridge in the room big enough to hold cheese, yogurt etc. We would definitely look forward to staying at this hotel again!

“Great hotel!”

Our group of 11 stayed at this hotel and we were all satisfied! After a twelve day cruise, we wanted to spend one night in Barcelona before catching a flight back to the US, and this was the perfect hotel. The neighborhood was a delight and we found lots of bakeries and restaurants that were delicious! Our room was large with a large bathroom also. There were three of us to a room and we were all very comfortable.

“Great Location”

The Location was amazing. There was a little grocery store right across the street which was very convenient and a great way to save money. There is also a great little bakery inside the grocery store. The metro wasn't far away at all...an overall good central location close to great restaurants ect. Noisy at night, but not that bad. The beds were hard, but by the end of a long day of sight seeing it didn't really matter.

“Extremely convenient”

Located between "La Rambla" & "Barrio Gotico" without the tumult of tourist. Three blocks from Gaudi's "La Pedrera' aka "Casa Mila". Seven blocks awya from "La Sagrada Familia". Across from a supermarket, next to a beauty parlor and a drug store; and, one corner away from a fruit market store & an outdoors Cafe to enjoy breakfast. The backyard of the hotel is a small park where parents take their toddler age children. Very nice restaurant in the ground floor. Excellent Internet access ( take a small CAT 5 to connect), DSL speed!! Used "Magic Jack" to call back to the states for free without any problems. Unable to use MJ during the cruise, Celebrity cruiseline, since the WIFI speed is a little bit better than a dial-up.

“great reception - very good value”

This hotel was a gtreat value - hotel was very clean - staff very friendly and, accomodating. We will stay at the Rosella the next time we go to Barcelona.

“Nice hotel”

The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful. Then room was small and the bed was hard but nothing too bad to keep us from going back. The hotel was closer to a 3 star hotel.

“Great hotel, very central”

Excellent hotel. Very modern room, good air con. Nice bathroom. Very central and very clean. Very quiet at night (stayed there on a Saturday). Could reccomend it enough.

“Trip to Barcelona”

Everything was fantastic except for two details, the bed was very hard, and since it was Winter the airconditioning only had heat, however outside we were at 27 degrees centigrade.

“Excellent except...no FREE internet”

Took AVE from Madrid, then Metro to hotel--15-minute walk to hotel and saved LOTS of money. We stayed 5 days of our 5 weeks in Spain (we did the Camino de Santiago)...so we've been staying in hotels, high-end ones (4-stars) as well as cheap 1-star ones all over Spain. Absolutely wonderful hotel! Truly a 4 star hotel. Good staff service. Meals in hotel are EXPENSIVE...but there are lots of affordable meals available outside the hotel and BEST PART is there is a super mercado located ACROSS the hotel! :) Since we did the Camino, from the hotel, we walked to Catalunya de Las Ramblas (lots of cafes) and all the way to the Marina/Port--easy to do if you are fit or able. Quiet place so you can relax but only a few minutes to the metro and to all the places to see including: Las Ramblas, Marina/Port, Park Guell, Familia Sagrada, etc. QUIBBLE: please provide FREE internet access, either wired or wireless. As much as we liked the hotel, we would NOT have stayed here if we knew it did not offer free internet access. We would have stayed at another 4-star hotel WITH FREE internet or even a 3-star hotel with FREE internet. (Can you tell I'm not happy with this?) Still, nice hotel and great place to stay...if you never connect to the internet. YES, you can pay for access but really, who does that these days? There are cafes and Starbucks all over Madrid, Barcelona, and Spain that gives FREE internet access. SUM: We really love Spain and congratulations on winning the World CUP!
