“Barcelona Hotel”
We stayed at this location during 4/2010 and had a nice time. The hotel is adequate but the beds were super hard. Room quite small and with luggage, almost impossible to walk around in. Bathroom nice. Seems far away from everything but easy access to metro down 2 blocks. Nice area. Staff friendly. Temperature hard to control in the room.
“Nice hotel, hard beds”
The hotel was very nice and in a safe area. We could walk easily to all of the major attractions of Barcelona. The hotel staff directed us to a very good restaurant for dinner as well. Parking was available for our rental car in a secured garage under the hotel. However, while we generally prefer firm mattresses, the beds here were rock hard, and very uncomfortable to sleep on.
“Good Value Hotel”
A new boutique hotel located in a nice neighborhood, away from the busy crowded Las Ramblas. Would like to go back and stay here in the future.
“guapa hotel”
The hotel was really nice the food at the hotel was amazing and cheap at lunchtime(12€ for 3 course meal a bottle of wine forthe table) slightly more in the evening and weekend(18/25€). There two metro stations close by provenca and diagonal and its like 3/4mins to catalunya(la ramblas) and 10/15 to ciutadella villa olimpica (port olympic) where most of the bars n clubs are. Metro runs 24hr on a sat but I would check this because it may change. The rooms were really clean the tv is really small there is a minibar in your DO NOT USE IT the prices are ridiculous. There is a small supermarket opposite where you can get all the things in the minibar plus more. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak a little english. The only bad things about is that they dont have irons and the laudry service(which the hotel provide) which was 5.25€ to get ONE shirt ironed..the gym they offer has one running machine and 3 bicycles and people from the outside can see you working out. Overall would definately recommmend the hotel.
“Hotel Evenia Rosello in Barcelona”
The hotel is of the nicer variety (a little pricey) with a great cafe/restaurant on the first floor. The staff was very nice and helpful with maps and directions, and even mailed postcards for us. Very clean all around and pretty modern, especially the bathroom. Cons: The elevators were very small, hard to fit all 4 of us and our luggage on the first trip up, and if we wanted to use our room safe, we had to leave a deposit of 50 euros. Also, there were no instructions for using the phones, i.e. how to dial the front desk or another room, or how to turn on the lights, i.e. the room key must be in the switch to activate electricity. Even though we set our temperature and wanted cool air, only hot air came out, so we had to leave the window open when we were in the room. The TV was tiny, and only had 1 English station - CNN. Bed/pillows were not the most comfortable.
“Good Access Location”
While the neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel is rather nondescript, it is only a quick walk to a major metro stop (Provenca) which can get you anywhere nicely, and the Diagonal with lots of great eateries and shopping. Hotel itself was very clean, has a bit of artsy design, and helpful staff with great English (a big help to us!). Good noise-control windows kept street sounds quite quiet. Downsides were the very small room and the inability to control the air conditioning at room level, so it remained hot and a bit swampy, since it was too early in the spring to switch the entire building over to AC from heat.
“Decent hotel”
It was an inexpensive hotel. Booking via Expedia doesn't come with breakfast.
“Was not satisfied.”
Because we decided on this trip the very last minute during the Easter holiday, we had to grin and bear with the Hotel. Location was now bad but overall, it was not a very good one. The cooridors somehow stank of garbage, the daily cleaning was a mess.
“not really impressed”
We are quite diappointed with this hotel, there was a bed, a bathroom a mini bar and thats it. there were no tea making facilities or an iron, we feel a bit fleeced. The room was small but very clean that was the best thing about it. The area was beautiful though and if your not that bothered about a brew in the morning it was worth it just be in that area.
“SCAM -- money stolen from safe -- STAY AWAY!”
Do not stay here! They WILL steal money from your safe. See, I thought it was a bit suspect when I realized that you had to get a lock and a key for the in-room safe from the front desk. Also, they had you put a 50 euro deposit on the lock. I joked to the guy that I'd no longer have any money to protect, after the deposit. Little did I know. The next day we were packing up to check out, and there were 50 euros missing from the safe. All told, my girlfriend and I had enough cash to sustain us for a few more days, so there were about 300 euros total in the safe. Maybe whomever stole it didn't think we'd notice. It was very upsetting; not just the money, but feeling violated. Each floor is pretty small, and there are members of the housekeeping staff around at all times. It would have been very easy to determine when we were gone. By the time we figured out the theft, we had to hurry and pack up to catch our train to France (that we had already paid for). So we had no time to call the police or anything. In any event, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! Trust me; I have nothing to gain from posting a negative review. The money is gone. Don't make the same mistake!
