“Great stay.”
We were very happy with our stay at the Gran Derby. The front office staff were wonderful in giving suggestions for eating and helping us figure out the transportation system. Our room had an upstairs (bed and bath) and down stairs (living room) which was great when one of us was not tired and the other was not.

Ein tolles Hotel und ausgezeichneten modernen und sauberen Zimmern. Personal erstklassig. Problematisch ist die Lage, denn die Strecke zur Ubahn sehr weit ist. Man kann mit Bus und Straßenbahn schon zu recht kommen, aber dafür muß man sich erstmal in der Stadt orientieren. familien sollten bedenken, dass auch in der Strasse einige "rote Lichte" brennen.....Aber das Hotel ist eigentlich super. Auf jedem Fall zu weiterempfehlen, vorausgesetzt man nimmt bequeme Schuhe mit!!
“Hotel Gran Derby”
Our overall experience of staying in the Gran Derby was very good. The room was a duplex, with a sitting-area downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs, which made it feel quite luxurious! However, the bedroom backed onto the marble staircase that led to the conference-room, which meant that it was exceptionally noisy in the mornings when conference delegates arrived. The upside of it being predominantly a business hotel was that the pool and terrace were usually pretty empty. The staff were friendly and approachable and always happy to answer questions / give directions etc. Room service and service to the pool terrace were reasonably priced. The hotel was further out from the city centre than had been anticipated, but there are two taxi ranks in the road outside the hotel and we found the taxis to be reasonably priced.

the hotel was small and easy to find everything. the staff was friendly and their English was very good. The only downsize was the buffet breakfast. Definitely would skip it. Bacon was raw and eggs where too well done. The yokes where hard. the room had a view of the pool area. It was located about a couple of blocks from the tour bus.
“Quiet hotel with good location spacious rooms”
Hotel Gran Derby was a great hotel for those looking for a spacious room with a pretty good location. The hotel was located not too far from the Barcelona Sants train station and close to Av Diagonal. Room was pretty big for European standards and had a couch and 2 beds. I would definitely return.

“Great hotel and great price”
Amazing deal for 4-star hotel in Barcelona. The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was very helpful. The room was a little dark and there is no gym, but other than that, it was an oasis in the big city. Would definitely stay there again.

We were just expecting a small hotel room and were so surprised to walk into a suite! The entire staff was very nice, polite and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay there again when I return to Barcelona.
