“very nice hotel, but the cleanliness...”
The modern design of the rooms was unique and impressive. the main problem was the cleanliness of room.
“Pretty Satisfied”
Just to let you know..if you're on the 0 floor, there is no elevator for you. you have to take the stairs. I had the zero floor. The room was 2 story. Bedroom on the second floor, the living room is on the first. It was nice. The a/c was leaking on the first floor, but I figure Spain isn't big on A/C anyways. The sofa was worn down a little, but no biggie. The room is actually really nice. We just got with a few things. The a/c is controlled per floor. There's a mini-fridge hidden in the walls. OH! there's also surround sound with a stereo system. Overall the hotel is pretty sweet.
“OK for One Night”
The room we were given was as advertised although the rest of the hotel appeared to have been renovated recently. There were little ants in the bathroom and bedroom but it was spring. We had to walk upstairs from the elevator. The room was quiet in a very noisy city because the main window opened on to a courtyard. Nice marble bath and spacious room.
“a real treat”
Really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona, and this hotel was a major factor in that. This was a business trip for me and leisure for my partner, so the location was ideal for our needs, although some may find it a little far away from the centre of town. The room we got was tremendous, rather more individual in its design and furnishing than the standard chain hotels, and a super bathroom. everything spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
“worth considering”
big room like a studio tv not clear convenient if you take the bus 24 or 33 (less than 5 min walk)to placa catalunya 15 min by bus to sants station from where you could take bus/train to airport pool in summer
“OK but...”
Hotel and room ok. Quiote a distance from the main attractions though we are not afraid of long walks. The breakfast rate which we thought was for two turned ouit to be inordanatly expensive. We should have gomne out to one of the local cades fro breakfast
“very nice hotel more for business people”
a very nice hotel if going for business, set in business area, ten minute walk to metro. rooms very good but not practical, only sky news on tv.
“Good and bad”
I stayed in two rooms, the first very modern and the second (cheaper) had ugly worn paper and stained walls. In general the front desk was unfriendly and helpful, but not very. Pricing was slightly better than rest of Barcelona but more remote. Might have stayed longer if AC was better.
“800 metres from everywhere”
Apart from a fairly comfortable room for the night, this hotel in April had very little to offer. Breakfast was not included although it could be purchased at fairly exorbitant rates. The swimming pool area was not open. The main complaint, however, was the fact that it was so far away from the centre, even although the Expedia writeup said that it was 500 metres from La Rambla and 800 metres from Placa Catalyuna, the Temple Sagrada Familia and the station. This was clearly untrue, as large distances would have to be walked to reach these destinations.
