“Great experience in beautiful suite!”

The staff was great! They welcomed us, and they had a great welcome room with coffee and snacks! They provided us with maps of the city and area and pointed out some spots we might consider visiting. We asked about Flamenco dance performances and they came back with ticket options for us! They suite was very modern and beautiful, like a flat I would personally purchase! We had a wonderful experience! We will stay there again and recommend it to anyone going to Barcelona! And the location was convenient and close to shopping, La Rambla, the Gotic Bari and all that is great about Barcelona!

“Grandom Suites Barcelona”

We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite with a sleep sofa in March. The apartment was very comfortable and met our needs well. The apartment we were in was not in the same building as the main hotel. Getting in touch with staff was hit-or-miss. Use of the telephone was fair -- we figured out how to make local and international calls but not how to get in touch with hotel staff or retrieve voice mails. As a family of 5, the apartment was centrally located and fit our needs. If we ever go back to Barcelona, we would stay at the Grandom Suites.

“Highly Recommend”

We had a very good experience here. The hotel was very modern and clean. We were met by a very helpful young man who took the time to point out the room's features. More importantly, he took out a map of Barcelona and circled all the highlights and the nearby bus and metro stations. Hotel is very well located - just a few blocks from the old city and Las Ramblas. There were a variety of cafes and small grocers within a block or two and a very nice shopping district a few blocks to the north. Great facility in a great city.

“Convenient with great amenities & service”

The management (Xavier & Susanna) was very warm and accommodating. We arrived a few hours earlier than expected, and they allowed us to wait in their sister hotel (Splendom Suites) until our room was available. They provided complimentary internet use, plush seats, and snacks. At Grandom Suites, our room was equipped with air-conditioning, a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, up to date conveniences, and a beautiful view of the park and streetscape from the balcony. Grandom Suites is ideally located in close proximity to Las Ramblas and other major thoroughfares, restaurants, and landmarks. Teleferic Restaurant is next door to the hotel, & serves a delicious breakfast, as well as over 40 tapas to select from for dinner.

“The best place in Barcelona”

Excellent choice, I was traveling during a month and this is probably one of the best. I was with my family and the place is very confortable, close to Paseo de Gracia and RAmblas.

“Would Recommend”

Finding the hotel was difficult because it does not look like a hotel. It is above a parking garage and the entrance is a door off in the corner, you can walk right by it and not even realize. When we checked in we had to wait for someone to let us in because reception is in another building a couple of blocks away. The staff we dealt with was really nice though, as was the hotel room. The rooms were large and clean, including the bathroom. As another reviewer mentioned there is only half of a shower door but that was our experience in every hotel throughout Europe. You just have to be bit careful when showering or else you will get water everywhere. We also had two balconies which was nice but the view was not. The view from the balcony was of a parking lot and the back of the surrounding buildings, which were nothing to look at, but it was quiet and nice to sit and unwind. The hotel was walking distance to almost everything you would want to see in Barcelona and for the sights a bit further there were metro stations close by. The only inconvenience was when we checked out we had to find the reception office and the directions they provide are not very clear so we ended up wondering around for a good 30 minutes just so we could leave. Overall the hotel was perfect for the price and I would recommend it.

“Would stay again”

Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry facility. The only problem is the ac unit had condensation problem and created a big pool of water on the floor. Stayed only one night before taking a cruise so don't know if ac problem was fixed after notifying management. Very good and reasonable local Spanish food restaurant nearby - much better and cheaper than the ones on La Rambla. Would stay here again compared to noisy and expensive setting of La Rambla.

“first time euro travelers”

easy to miss entrance- this is a small boutique euro hotel- don't stay here if you like the creature comforts of sheraton, westin, etc. It is real Euro living- we had 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen with washer, living room, baloncy --all in true Euro style. Staff was nice but not always on site as they have second hotel down the street. Felt like you were living in a European apartment.Very clean and up to date furnishings. Would be ideal for multi-day stay or families (we had 3 teens with us). Close (walking distance) to La Rambla. Neighborhood safe-enough but like the rest of Barcelona, be aware of your surroundings at night.

“1st time barcelona”

The overall surrounding of the hotel was very pleasant, we felt pretty safe walking around, lots of restaurants near by, with plenty of choices. That was the best part. Walking to The Rambla is about 15 minutes, a tat far for us since we have little kids, but perhaps for people without children, that wouldn't be that long of a walk. The rooms are clean, a bit small, but I guess most of the Europe is like that. I picked this hotel mainly because it has a fully equiped kitchen and washer, which was extremely important for me again because of kids. I did laundry everyday. But the bathroom really needed to be updated, and whatever they can do to get rid of the smell, it was enough to drive the guests out after 1 night there, because there's no way you can keep the bathroom door open , or holding your breath while in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and generally helpful. Great food bar / continental breakfast area, we enjoyed the espresso very much.

“Would avoid this place if you do not smoke”

The place would not stay open in the states. The shower was missing part of the shower doors and got the whole bathroom under water. Staff solution, "we will bring more towels". Also the no smoking room reeked like air- freashner and smoke. I also did not like the fact that the lobby was around the corner and down the street so if you needed something you would have to wait until they were able to get an employee to run down the street.
