“Would definitely go back again”

Was everything we expected although the room a little smaller but didn't cause too much inconvenience. Was right near La Ramlas but not so close we got lots of noise which was great. The hotel staff were very friendly and not only made our beds and replaced our towels but tidied our room every day. We have no complaints, everything was great.

“Excellently located hotel”

The hotel is very nice with decent sized rooms which was fully air conditioned and comfortable for sleeping. The buffet breakfast is the best idea as plenty of choice to gain a full tummy before all the exploring. The hotel is located perfectly! Just 5 mins from La Rambla but away from the hustle and bustle on a side street. On the main road to the left only 5 mins away was an amazing tapas restaurant! Excellent food, modern restaurant and great value, definitely worth a trip

“A Barcelona Bargain”

Small hotel with small rooms, but great service and a great location. Buffet breakfast was outstanding. Located only two blocks from Ramblas and great restaurants and the outstanding Barcelona city food market. When a repair was required for the shower it only took one call to the desk and about 10 minutes to get it repaired. The staff was mostly English apeaking and very helpful and friendly.

“Wonderful hotel!”

When you walk into the lobby it smells so good!Excellent hotel for the price I paid. The staff were definitely knowledgeable, and very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only down side was that the walls are not thick, so I did hear the next door guests. My suggestion is to get some ear plugs if you are picky on noise. In my opinion, it is definitely a city I'd go back, and most likely stay at the hotel.

“Perfect Balance of Being Close to it all and a Quiet Escape from La Rambla”

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is classy, located just a minute's walk from La Rambla and nearby metro stations, yet located on a quiet street that is centrally located. The front desk staff are attentive to your needs and provide quality recommendations and assistance in navigating the city. Would certainly recommend this place. The room is nice and clean, though nothing utterly spectacular. But it is more than sufficient to meet any traveler's needs/wants comfortably. The only thing that I would recommend is that they put in softer beds. Oh, and it would be nice to have an in-room safe, which I'm pretty sure we didn't have here. Otherwise, no complaints.

“Perfect for a Short Stay”

Clean room, modern reception and bar, perfect location. A nice touch was being welcomed at reception with a glass of champagne. Staff very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

“Excellent”

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Although tucked away down an unattractive side street, the hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of the city. There is a warm welcome from friendly and very helpful staff. Our room was clean and well presented. However, despite having requested a double bed, we were allocated a room with twin beds pushed together. If I had to make a complaint at all, it would be that we only had one quite thin pillow each. We had three very enjoyable days in Barcelona and the hotels comfort and convenience was an added bonus.

“An excellent hotel, ideally placed.”

My wife and I booked this hotel for a 4-night stay. It completely lived up to our expectations and in many ways exceeded them. The staff were friendly and helpful, the cleanliness exemplary, the beds comfortable and the room well-appointed. On request our room was changed to a "superior con balcon" overlooking the street, which was reasonably quiet except one night when the street-cleaners decided to pressure-wash their bins at 4.30 am. Still, at least we felt in touch with the city and it was nice to have proper daylight and even a balcony on which to sit if you're not prone to vertigo (like most of those in Barcelona the rail is only hip-high). There was a safe in the room (small charge) and on the day of departure the hotel was happy to house our baggage in a secure room behind the reception desk. The optional buffet breakfast was lavish. It offered an excellent choice for all tastes. However, if all you want is coffee and a croissant, then you'd be better off saving charge and going round the corner to a local bar. The hotel's situation is ideal for exploring the city on foot. It's a mere five minutes' walk from Catalunya Plaza and La Rambla - even for a couple of seniors like us. The Metro is also very close by (Universitat). An airport bus drop-off is about 100m away, though you have to go to the far side of Catalunya Plaza for the return pick up. Book this hotel with confidence.

“Barcelona's Grupotel Gravina”

The hotel was situated in a great area, close to the Universitat Metro. It was very clean and the rooms had air conditioning and free internet. The service was very good and the staff was friendly. They even greeted us with champagne when we got there.
