Charmless receptionistPosted Dec 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The receptionist insisted that, although it was free wifi, we could only have two hours at a time and then we had to go back down to reception to get a new printout of a log-in and password. (The following morning a different receptionist said this was nonsense and gave us a wifi pass for two days.) She insisted on our completing a form, allegedly for the police but presumably for the group's Marketing department, as it even required our email and mobile phone details, unlikely to be a police request. When I asked for the form back the next morning they gave it to me without demur. The public areas are limited and in tired condition. The corridor outside our room and the chairs inside needed urgent replacement. The safe in our room did not work. The external door to the garage would not lock. A run down hotel that would be lucky to be classified as three star.

2 day family trip to BarcelonaPosted Aug 23, 2013

Good central locationPosted Apr 30, 2013
Cons: Cold cotton sheets. This was in rainy April!
Location: Near buses and metros
The rooms are all suites so it feels luxurious with loads of space. However the corridors on the 1st floor were in need of redecoration & looked a bit rundown for a 4 star. It is well situated for main attractions with metro station nearby with access to several lines. The reception staff were exceptional.

Will not stay therePosted Oct 19, 2012
Pros: Hotel staff
Location: Location is good, close to Diagonal ave.
This hotel is very old, old furniture, like a chair in the room, that shakes and you cannot use it for sitting. Room looks very old, walls required some repair. Bathtub is slippery, cannot take shower without water going to the floor, not just dripping, a lot of water on the floor, that I use all towels to dry the floor. Size of the room is good. TV 19" is very old with a very bad reception, you cannot find like this TV in any stores, maybe was made before 2000.. WI-FI is not working in the room, only in reception area. Lock box is $4.50 EUR per night, very expensive, should be free. Location is good, next to Diagonal Ave, where is a good shopping area, very close to Hop-on, Hop-off bus. Air-condition in the room was good. Breakfast was good, but expensive, $16 EUR per person. Better go outside to bar or restaurant for chipper price. Staff is very nice and helpful. Will not stay in this hotel next time. Will not recommend to my friends.

Good choicePosted Oct 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
We were very pleased with our stay here. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us good directions and sightseeing tips. Location was pretty good - we were able to walk, and it was close to the bus line if we didn't want to walk. Our room was perfect for three people. Breakfast was a little pricey, but lots of variety and very tasty. We felt we made a very good choice staying here. We'd come back!

Good location with spacious rooms.Posted Oct 7, 2012
Pros: Spacious suites. Lots of room
Cons: Furnishings and condition of rooms dated - could use sprucing up.
Location: A very nice location in a very nice part of Barcelona, but not close to the Metro.
The rooms are very spacious considering it's a European hotel - more like an American hotel. However, the furniture and condition of the ceiling, bathroom, etc. do show their age. The hotel could use a sprucing up. However, we had ample room for 3 people in our suite. The internet (wifi) worked fairly well as well. The location is very nice as well as it's in a very good area of Barcelona, with lots of nice restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. However, it is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the nearest metro stop (Diagonal). While the hotel is classified as 4 star, it's probably closer to to a 3 1/2 star hotel.

A nice place in BarcelonaPosted Sep 29, 2012
Pros: Great service
Cons: It could use a remodeling
Location: Not La Rambla, but right off Diagonal and easy public transportation anywhere.
A bit oldy but great service, which was very important for us. We came with kids and they really made efforts to make our stay great. I would come back to the hotel. Really great Tapas Restaurant across the street

Cons: No comments
Location: Great location. Once you become familiar with the area, it is a piece of cake.
My family and I had a very good experience staying at the hotel. The location was quite, staff was friendly and willing to assist and guide. I will recommend this hotel to others.
