Great for a night!Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: The staff definitely helped make this stay successful. Very knowledgeable about the city and really polite.
Cons: The lift, as I mentioned above, was barely big enough for 2 people, 2 full size suitcases, 1 carry on suitcase and a backpack.
Location: All I can say is that the noise at night did keep us awake. We did not walk anywhere to or from the hotel to be able to judge walking distances.
We arrived after the posted desk hours of the hostel but didn't have any trouble buzzing up and getting our room key sorted. We did have some fun getting 2 full size suitcases, a carry on suitcase, two people and a backpack into the lift to get up to the 4th floor though! The room did not have a lot of extra space for our luggage but had a nice view of the street, an en suite bathroom and desk. The room was also had a fan which saved us overnight. The hotel is located in a busy area of Barcelona and there was a lot of noise. This, coupled with the heat made it a bit difficult to sleep but we managed. The hotel has a shared bathroom but I didn't have any difficulty getting a shower in the morning before checking out.

Very well placed in the center of the city.Posted Jun 29, 2013
Pros: It is very central with lots of public transportation means.
Cons: The double bed could be a little larger.
Location: There many shops and restaurants near by.
We stayed just for one night and then visited the city easily because there are many public transportation means. We bought 10 tickets and you could use the same ticket for another public transportation in a period of 2 hours. Although the bathroom was shared, we had no problems. There was no noise from the street below our room.We could leave the luggage before and after the regular stay I would recommend the hostel for the persons who don't spend much time in the hotel. .

Conveniently located hotel with helpful staff.Posted May 20, 2013
Pros: Short stroll to Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas.
Cons: Provide in-room phones.
The staff gave good advice as to tours, meals, etc. My only surprise was that there was no phone in the room to receive calls.

Great location, friendly service, not so great bedPosted Apr 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the place was fine for 50E - my girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 night before staying with friends in Barcelona, so it did the job of providing a bed for the night. The room was not quite what I expected from teh pics when booking, but was ok, if a little small. The girl at reception was very friendly and helpful though, and called in advance of my arrival, and assisted with looking after our bags the following day - so overall great - but if you want a nice bed and big fancy room, maybe not so....

In the context of judging a two star hostal, I found the accommodation acceptable. The location was excellent. The room was small, but very clean and adequate with a small balcony overlooking the busy street below. The manager, Shu, was very efficient and helpful. The hostal is on the fourth floor, and there is an elevator. The four rooms are served by two shared bathrooms - one for men, another for women. A good and acceptable place to stay for two or three nights.

Not what is says on the tin!Posted Apr 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked a room in this hotel because of the location, the wifi and the Queen size bed. Location was good. The wifi didnt work and the queen size bed was actually two single beds, that for someone 6'1" left 6 inches of my feet sticking out the end of the bed.Avoid.

Calm and nice hostelPosted Apr 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hostel placed close to main square and turists bus station. Chi is receptionist who is very kind polite and helpful. The hostel was very good. The only thing that it is worth to mention is, it does not have any kitchen or stove to cook. Small balcony for the street side rooms are very nice and has a good view, but it is a little noisy during night as the street is crowded sometimes.

Very nice.Posted Mar 23, 2013
Pros: Location, comfort, cleanlines
Location: Close to Las Ramblas--excellent to see the city.
We arrived after midnight but they were still pleasantly able to greet us. They have two properties about 150 meters apart. Maria and her husband live at the one we stayed at. That was the one with the private bath. It was very cozy and comfortable. There is a "hot pot" for boiling water and there are some tea bags and instant coffee provided. There is a nice-sized desk/table and there is free wifi. The cable has a few channels in English also. It is just around the corner from Las Ramblas which is the main shopping street in Barcelona. It is right near a main plaza for landmark purposes. It is next door to a Hilton Hotel. The building is secure. There is a lift. It is not luxury but homey and comfortable. Low price.

It is in a great location and is kept very clean. This hostal is better suited to a single traveller. The rooms were quite small and the bed was not large enough to comfortably sleep a couple. The pillows were uncomfortable and the walls were very thin. We could hear everything our neighbour did. We would NOT stay here again.
