“great location, very clean and elegant hotel”
wonderful staying, at the center of Ramblas. elegant, clean and styling room.
“Fully satisfied!”
It is a hotel highly recomended, only thing that sometimes disturbs is the noise from the subway.
“An Oasis in the midst of the La Rambla”
After a long flight from the US, we arrived in Barcelona while a student demonstration protesting college cutbacks. Our taxi had to let us out several blocks from the hotel which made the walk with our luggage through the crowds draining our remaining energy. We arrived at the hotel to find an incredibly warm and beautiful lobby and were quickly greeted by the hotel staff. English is widely spoken and we were provided a nice room and perfect restaurant recommendation merely a block away. You will find the property to be top notch, incredibly maintained and superior pool and fitness facilities. Perfect hotel for anyone looking for a top full service hotel in the Rambla.
“Really, Really nice hotel”
Lovely hotel with inviting lobby and roof top pool and bar area with lounges for relaxing and taking in the view. Rooms generous, attractive and clean. Plenty of storage space. Staff very helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Ideally located on Las Ramblas just up the street from La Boqueria market place. Walk right into the oldest barrio of Barcelona and Born barrio.
“Great location, excellent servcice. Can't wait to go back!”
Our stay at H1898 was a very pleasurable experience for the entire family. This is especially true because this was our first trip to Barcelona. The atmosphere of the Hotel lent itself to the wonderful experience that is visiting Barcelona, from the delicious daily breakfasts to the efficient housekeeping to the very professional front desk. We heartily recommend H1898 to any traveler wishing to experience the beauty of Barcelona.
“Hope I can get back soon.”
Great service and the food was excellent. It is in the perfect location if you visit Barcelona, can get to anywere from this hotel.
“Surpassed my expectations.”
The hotel is centrally located. It was comfortable and quiet. The room, as well as the hotel, is immaculate. Large enough bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows I wish I could take home with me, they were so soft. Lovely terrace on the roof to sit; just that the weather wasn't warm enough. Staff were extremely helpful. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Barcelona especially before and after a cruise. I would definitely stay there again.
“A diamond in the rough”
Perfect location on Las Ramblas with easy access to everything. Very quiet despite noisy neighbohood. High tech rooms, helpful front desk, beautiful rooftop bar. The only issue was that the wireless was up an down constantly. It was not an isolated issue because my husband and I both experienced the same issue and I heard someon at the front desk complaining too.
“Absolutely fantastic hotel”
We were delighted by this hotel. It has been tastefully refurbished to a very modern standard but in a style that is extremely tasteful. The staff are extremely helpful and can offer information on places to visit. For example they told us about a church were classical spanish guitar music is played and it was a magical evening. They also recomnended a Jazz Club where we had a great evening. The hotel restaurant food is good and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Its location just off La Ramblas is very convnient and despite this there is no street noise heard in the room. The area around the hotel has some nice places to dine as well
“great hotel, great location”
