Beautiful hotel, perfect location, brilliant staffPosted Jun 26, 2015
Had an amazing stay at this classy hotel, you cannot get a better location, despite being right on Las Ramblas we couldn't hear a noise which was lovely when we were relaxing by the pool. The pool staff were incredibly attentive without being irritating and the pool was incredible. Will stay when I am next in Barcelona and have recommended to everyone.

Perfect hotel for celebrations and City breakPosted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Staff, rooftop, spa, location, rooms, cleanliness
Cons: Spa pool was a bit cold on a couple of days, other than that nothing.
Location: Walking distance to la Rambla, bars, restaurants, Catalonia square, port etc. Long walk or short taxi 15e, to nearest decent beach
It was my wife's 50th birthday and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The underground spa, rooftop terrace and pool area were superb, the bar in the lobby very accommodating ( brought out a birthday cake and celebration drink when they found out about the 50th with no prompt, which really impressed us.) The whole ambiance of the hotel was in keeping with our expectations, and the location in the middle of la Rambla perfect for whizzing around all the local bars and restaurants, where there Is everything you would need. The room was reasonable sized for a standard ( superior a bit bigger) but exquisitely laid out with electronic mood lighting, evening pull down of covers and personal chocolates every day, constant fresh towels and dressing gowns - all little points but adds to the ever all pleasure

Amazing stay in Barcelona!Posted Jun 22, 2015
Cons: The safe would not open and we had to get a manager to come up to our room to open the safe which took quite a few tries before the safe would open.
Our stay at Hotel 1898 was so welcoming and relaxing. Able to check in early and staff are so accommodating. Everything we wanted to visit was so close by from the Palau Music theatre to La Boqueria Market and strolls along Las Rambla. If you do stay at Hotel 1898 you must go up to the summer terrace at night to enjoy the drinks, tapas or a meal and enjoy the view of the city from up top. The view, ambiance and food are incredible! Breakfast was very good and you can also have breakfast up on the terrace.Beds were so comfortable. Would return to this hotel in a heartbeat!

The rooftop restaurant view was greatPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: The rooftop restaurant and lounge.
Cons: The price could be lower.
Location: The location is great if you want to be in the middle of 100,000 tourists. It is located about 200 yards from the harbor.
If you want to be in the center of the Barcelona tourist district (Las Rambas) this is a hotel to strongly consider - only 20 meters from the central Las Ramblas avenue leading to the Harbor. The hotel is relatively small but but nicely appointed. The rooftop restaurant has a great view of the city. The Pink Mohitos are amazing. :) The rooms are relatively small but nice. The pool is relatively small but adequate. I would stay there again.

Ankunft gegen 10:00, Zimmer gemäss Ansage erst ab Mitttags bezugsfertig.

Perfect Location on the La Rambla!!Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Loved everything about it.
Location: It was close to shopping, restaurants and everything was within walking distance including our tour meeting place. The hotel is beautiful.
We stay for 2 days after a cruise and I was not disappointed with my choice of a hotel. We had a superior room and it was large, clean and well appointed. All staff were very helpful and professional and they were able to check us in early which was around 10:30 AM.

Pros: Dachterrasse und Lage
Gerade an der Ramblas ist ideal für Stadtspaziergänge im alten Barcelona.
