Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Staff were so helpful and polite. We had a problem with the safe in our room and is was dealt with immediately. There was a very good selection at breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pros: The staff and the facilities
Cons: The presence of the Metro below the hotel - (minimal noise for light sleepers)
Location: Centrally located
Excellent value for money, centrally located with excellent facilities including the roof top bar and swimming pool as well as the vaulted area for the spa. Would recommend the hotel to any one

Lovely hotelPosted May 19, 2015
The room is lovely and the location perfect. The staff could not be better...they truly want their guests to enjoy their visit. I had a medical problem and they made an appointment for me that fit into my itinerary. Fabulous hotel.

Half way down la ramble.VeryconvenientforeveryherePosted May 18, 2015
This hotel is exceptional for Barcelona .We have stayed twice. There is a rooftop terrace where you can have breakfast lunch and snacks and drinks all day and night. Also a nice open air pool.

Excellence on Las RamblasPosted May 15, 2015
Pros: Spa facilities first rate.
Cons: Few dings to bath rooms and shower mechanism confusing if you don't see instructions . Roof tapas +- Restaurant menu lacks variety local dishes
Location: Walking distance of cathedral, shopping, Picasso Museum Barcelona museum and if you are not a limited walker harbor, and Gaudi, multiple metro lines
Service was excellent staff helpful including with reservations for Flamenco and Bus Tours, taxi arrangement etc...Rooms clean nice acountrrements and nice HD TVs. Only glitch the signage when checking in by car its not on Las Ramblas and if you miss the turn before entrance, you have to drive around ten minutes to get back to turn. Not a bid deal but woudl be helpful to know in advance.

Hôtel idéal pour un séjour à BarcelonePosted May 13, 2015
Pros: Situation, confort, service, tout est impeccable.
Cons: Ne rien changer

Perfect situation and amazing facilitiesPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: The spa especially, but also the privacy (the lift required a card to work - which only patrons had). The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything - maybe a few more green teas in the room!
Location: The food market - the Boqueria - down the road. The beach - half an hour walk. The gothic quater - amazing buildings.
The hotel is perfectly situated for all that Barcelona has to offer, but shuts out the bustle of the city when you want some peace and quiet. The spa was just amazing. We spent many hours of out short trip there. The roof top terrace with it's city view pool, bar and restaurant was such a treat. The food was fantastic. The rooms provided all you needed for a quiet nights sleep, and included amazing black out curtains. The hotel really made the trip luxurious, and we felt very spoilt.

Lovely city centre hotel yet quietPosted May 11, 2015
Fabulous hotel, stunning views of Barcelona from the roof top terrace. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable superking size bed, lovely extra touches like having the bed covers turned down & chocolates left each evening. We were on the 4th floor our room faced onto a side street off La Ramblas so relaxing hearing the hustle & music playing from the street, soundproofing excellent however if you are a very light sleeper perhaps you would prefer a room overlooking the inner courtyard. Staff very helpful & friendly. Would definitely return!

Nice hotel right in the centre of Barcelona.Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Very helpful staff, very clean and well looked after.
Cons: The set menu...why cannot one person have it?
Location: Nice central location, close to the bus stops and marina, you can actually walk to most of the interesting spots from here.
Our original room was a bit too small, ok for a weekend but not for a week, an upgrade was easily secured (at a cost obviously) we had a free bottle of water for the 1st 4 days then it stopped? the only problem that we had was when we decided to eat in the Hotel restaurant, my wife wanted the set menu and I opted for Ala Carte as there was nothing on the set menu that I liked, but was told that we had to have the Ala Carte for two as they could not do it for one??? It seems strange as if you were travelling on business you might be on your own, anyway no problem we went elsewhere and saved a lot of money! On the Wednesday we had a nice surprise when returning to the room, a bottle of Cava and two glasses with a nice note thanking us for staying with them! thank you 1898.
