Excellent hotel very close to the beachPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Clean, efficiently run, friendly establishment.
Cons: I believe a four star hotel should be providing each room with tea and coffee making facilities along with a fridge as standard.
Location: The hotel is around a ten minute walk from the beach which has a variety of bars and restaurants along the promenade and also from the area Poblenou.
Very much enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel4Barcelona. Could not have been better located for the beach and the many varied restaurants on Rambla del Poblenou. Situated close to the bustling area of Poblenou however not close enough to hear any disturbance late in the evening, this was an ideal location to base our 14 nights in Barcelona. With easy access to transport via the local bus and metro services there was no trouble in getting around this vibrant city at all. Staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and obliging and our bed linen and towels changed daily much to our astonishment. To summarise this was a wonderful break in an ideal location and we would not hesitate to return.

You get what you pay forPosted Oct 11, 2014
neighborhood is a tad sketchy especially late at night. Location is very convenient. Close to beach and metro. It's stripped bare basic. Not even a mini fridge for water and such. Hotel staff is great though.

A little out of the way but good hotelPosted Sep 29, 2014
Location: Not much nearby but some bars where you can get food.
Nice hotel but little out of the way. Metro 5mins away which is ok but a little daunting at night. Taxi into Barcelona less than 10 euro. Staff very helpful.

liked the proximity to the beachPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: We liked it's proximity to the beach and we felt we were provided with a good breakfast/t. We also loved the coffee.
Cons: I think we covered this above. They key system could be improved. Some staff could be friendlier and more helpful.
Location: We loved your seawalk promenade with so many things happening and lots of restaurants. We had no difficulty getting to the bus stops.
We found the hotel to be satisfactory in all respects but sometimes found the desk staff and breakfast room staff to be a little abrupt and not overly friendly/ We loved the coffee in the breakfast room and were quite happy with the buffet breakfast.although we were never able to find a seat together.( I suppose a little difficult with a group of six) We also had trouble with the room keys which are rather finnicky and rarely open even on the 3rd try. On two occasions we had to go down to the office to get a new key. We also were a little upset when we wanted to order room service and had no working phone in our room. We also could not contact the other couples in our party. However all of us got a good night's sleep and enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. .

Nice hotel, close to the beachPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: New building and very modern inside
Cons: More English TV channels
Location: Was a good 45 min walk from the hotel to the city centre but very close to the beach and the area was really quiet which was nice to come back to
It was a nice hotel. Not much use of the TV as it only had sky news in English. The room was a good size, would have been better to have a double bed rather than two singles pushed together as we had booked a double bed room. Made came everyday and kept the room really clean and changed the towels just like the rest of the hotel. Can't fault the cleanliness

Very close to the best beach in Barcelona.Posted Aug 31, 2014
Thought the area wasn't great at first, but so close to Bogatell beach and the tourist bus. Three blocks from the metro and five stops to the main square. Great views from 7th floor rooms. Most staff we're amazingly excellent, going out of their way to help. Weren't any children there during our stay. Breakfast was basic and self serve with not much room for people to get things. Overall a lovely stay, would go again.

Nice hotel, but wifi needs upgradingPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Location: Beach, restaurants
Nice reasonably priced hotel close to the beach and restaurants on rambla de poblenou. The rooms were cleaned to high standards and the interior looked new. However, had issues logging on to the wifi on my Ipad and Iphone and was told by the reception that this was not an unusual occurrence. Wifi was available in the rooms but was very slow most of the times and struggled to load content.

Great for beach and cityPosted Jul 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Situated 5 minutes from the beach and the underground station is a short walk away for easy access to the city centre or any part of Barcelona. Rooms were comfortable, we paid extra for a room upgrade (consists mainly of ritual toiletries, free mini fridge with water, soft drinks and beer). We didn't have breakfast but plenty of places to eat nearby, including a street full of restaurants a short stroll away. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Free wifi in room and throughout the hotel.

Great Modern Hotel Near BeachPosted Jul 13, 2014
Really nice and very modern hotel. About 2 blocks from Barcelona metro station (south) and 2 blocks (north) from the beach. Fairly easy walk to the marina and Casino if desired. Comfortable bed and flat screen tv with several international channels. Good shower with rainfall shower head. Hotel has very knowledgeable English speaking staff, who were very accommodating. Hotel offers free beach towels (with 10 euro deposit) so no need to bring your own. Wireless internet was free and fairly fast. Hotel is also a block from a stop on the "green line" of the Barcelona Bus-tastic tour bus, which was conveinent for site seeing and not having to buy a tourist pass for the Metro. Not very many restaurants in the area but the hotel does have one; but we never ate there. The hotel bar was nice and offered a liter of Sangria for 10 euro, which was comparable to other places in Spain that we visited. Only negative was the brunch in the restaurant. It was decent for a European brunch standards, just a little over priced for everything offered (IMO). I would recommend saving your money and get breakfast at the McDonalds 2 blocks away (on the beach).
